Evening all.. It's been a glorious sunny day today.. I had my physio appointment this morning.. then had to run around catching up with a whole load of other stuff, nice to be out with only a shirt and leggings and cropped trousers on for a change ..it's gonna get warmer from now on.
I have just been freezing all of this week here in Philadelphia. I have not gone outside of the hotel since we arrived, and even here in our room, it is cold ! Maybe it is just me ? Anyway , what I can see out the window looks gray and dreary, and what a change from all of the beautiful greenery and flowers (and sunshine ) we had last week in Hawaii. None of the trees that I can see from here are even starting to leaf out yet, and it still has that dismal winters-end kind of look. I am ready to be back home again, although I really loved Hawaii, and wish that we could live there,, it is the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. Maybe that is where the Garden of Eden really was ? Anyway, this is Robin’s last day of work here, and in the morning we are heading back to Alabama. Since we are driving back in the rental car, it should be a scenic trip back home, and new places that I have not seen before.
Enjoy your trip @Yvonne Smith , it sounds like you need a burst of nice views to end your lovely trip. Shame about philly being so cold and dreary... Hawaii was lovely and I'm pleased you had a wonderful time , but I wish you could come to Southern Spain it's just as beautiful of not more so... Must have been fab for you to spend so much mum and daughter time...
Has been in middle 70s all week and sunny. But today the high is like 50 something, windy, cloudy a bum looking day out. But this to shall pass. Otherwise a typical Sunday around here.
Good morning all.. It's another Glorious start to the week... and the first day of April The rest of the week is set to be much cooler and wet..so I'd like to go out today but I've got to wait in for a parcel that has to be signed for.. and no tracking, so I don't know when it will arrive.. so I may have to stay close to home all day.. Have a good week everyone..
Supposed to be gloriously sunny for this entire week. It may change, however. I am praying for rain or snow to keep the wildfire danger down. Still just transplanting, and I have a garden club meeting in a few hours.
Good morning all... Little bit colder this morning, but not raining yet... I have an appointment with the dermatologist at the local hospital to check out a suspicious looking mark on my arm ( not a mole ) but something that is refusing to respond to any topical potions.. so we'll see what they have to say in a couple of hours time.. Fortunately the hospital is very close by, so no long travel today.. have a good Wednesday everybody...
I was expecting the dermatologist to recommend some kind of cream tbh.. but he took one look and said he needed to do a Biopsy there and then. ..so I had to have 3 injections in my elbow to numb it, while he took the biopsy.. I've got 6 stitches in my elbow now, and heavily bandaged because I have to keep it from getting wet for 12 days....altho' the stitches can come out in 4 days..it can be up to 4 weeks for results unless it's something serious I asked how was I going to stop it from getting wet in the shower, he said hold your arm outside the cubicle.. I wasn't expecting That when I left home this morning...
Good grief, @Holly Saunders , what an unexpected thing to have happen ! Hoping that it doesn’t turn out to be anything serious, and he can just give you some cream or something simple to heal it right up. Did he give you any idea of what he thinks might be causing it ? We are supposed to be having warmer weather here today. I was beginning to think that the cold was just following me around. I got to Hawaii with my summer clothes packed in my baggage, and ended up wearing the warm clothes and socks for the whole time I was there just about. Then, on to Philadelphia, which we expected to be colder, and it was seriously cold, and then came back home to freezing temperatures. I am totally ready for spring to be here ! We are going to be able to take some of the inside house plants out for the summer , it looks like ....... finally. Weather in the 70’s, which is much nicer than in the 5o’s.
@Yvonne Smith ... he said it's unlikely to be cancerous, but he had to take biopsy to be sure..he thinks even though I've had it for at least 6 month or more, that it's possibly been caused by an insect bite, and the skin around has enlarged and thickened to protect the site.. I'd never heard of an insect bite causing a problem for months.. but he said it's quite common Until we get the results I don't know what the treatment would be ... Btw only 48 degrees here ( lower than we've had for weeks) , sunny, but it really feels quite cold. I drove to the hospital with no jacket on because it's always overheated in there, but when I came out I really felt the cold then., and rushed to get into the car .BRRrrrrr !!
