Freezing here, too ! Time to start warning my warm knitted slippers again. 30 here in northern Alabama this morning, and only going to make it to about 50 for the high of the day. Looks like the rest of this week and into next week is more of the same. Yesterday, we carried all of the plants into the house that have spent the summer enjoying the front porch . I am pretty sure that they would have been pretty bedraggled this morning, if not completely dead from the cold.
Good morning y'all. I'm baaaaack! I returned yesterday from a week long mental break in our scenic island state of Tasmania. Every morning I woke to a view similar to this.
... a sunny morning that started off damp, but now feeling warmer, temps at around 48 deg . Hubs is on the Barn roof attaching some flashing tape.. I'm waiting indoors for an Amazon delivery supposed to be here within the next couple of hours.. well, half of it anyway.. Have a super Remembrance Sunday everyone. I've just been watching the services and parades in London.. on TV.. , always a very sobering though to see all those injured and old soldiers turning out to walk in the parade, all in Pain some without limbs or sight , but all as proud as can be.....and we should all be even more proud of them!!
@Holly Saunders Taking in the Remembrance Memories as well, and will tomorrow as well. You are so right, as hard as it must be for our still existing veterans, they still show their strength, no matter what. Many lessons of gratitude for us to learn.
Good morning. Here I am in my Air Force Academy sweat shirt and slacks saluting the National Anthem during a Veteran's Day (Remembrance Day) program. God Bless all who served and are still serving. Remember those who died to keep us free.
