Oh Yes, just what I need Terry thank you muchly!! 8.50am now got back home about 7.30am and it's snowing really Heavily now...huge big flakes!! ...however it's lovely and warm indoors so, that's where I'm gonna stay hopefully for the rest of the day!
Brrrr. Decidedly nippy outside, though we have blue sky and even a little sunshine. There is no snow at town level, but as you can see, the hills around have taken some.
Mornin. Good news. I DIDN'T win the powerball. That means, I don't have to move away and change my name. It does mean that my fight with my insurance company is still on. Had I won the lottery, I would have bought the company and fired 'em all. Anyway, it's supposed to get into the mid 40's here today. However, that's just a teaser 'cause there's more cold coming about Saturday or Sunday. I'm stayin right here 'til the old temp gauge hits 70. Actually, I got a doc's appointment the end of next month, so I'll be going out then. That will start another whole round of bills trickling in. Used to be, I go to the doc, get one bill. Now it seems, everyone I talk to while I'm at the doc sends me a bill. Well, I'm off to facebook to see what mayhem my family has been up to. Be careful out there, or behave. Whichever's the most fun for you.
…I know. I got a bill for a "free" consultation of $300. The billing department said $150 of it was because I walked in the door (facility charge). I've walked in lots of business doors and nobody charges me a facility charge…NObody. They did dismiss the whole bill since it was suppose to be free.
Mornin' @Ike Willis ... aw, this means that Mari doesn't get her PuPu Platter at that Luau. Well drat! Ah, you wait for the ol' thermometer to hit 70 and I start getting uncomfortable when it does! I happen to love fall most of all, and certain times of winter *unless* there's ice, which there is at the moment, so I'm glad to be inside and warm today... actually I just peeked out of the window as I typed that, and it's snowing. Sorry to hear about the upcoming bills. It's getting ludicrous. A few months ago I got charged two HUNDRED and fifty dollars for some KID to poke a needle in my arm. No kidding.
Nothing has changed since last night, my sister is going to the hospital this morning probably after her youngest child gets to school. She's only 9. My sister is 15 years younger than me.
Chrissy, your mother is so blessed to have so many family members there for her. She must be so grateful and proud of you all.
She is and she is a wonderful mother to all of us. After my father died she went to live with my youngest sister, so about 15 yrs ago. She watched my sister's children when my sister was working and helped her in everything around the house. A few years ago when she couldn't make it up the stairs anymore they added a wing on downstairs for my mom. And since my BIL is a doctor, my mom couldn't be living in a better place! I wouldn't mind having a live in doctor either.
Pain Management clinics are usually multi-disciplinary, so perhaps they can provide services you're not currently receiving. Often, they will have therapists on hand, and I've seen good results with stress management, biofeedback and hypnosis. Hopefully it will be a good clinic and they'll be able to offer you some relief.
Just got an update from my sister..... Seems my mom had a pulmonary embolism and they are treating her for that. They tried to ween her off the ventilator but couldn't, they'll try again tomorrow.
Chrissy thanks for the update...does she suffer with DVT as a rule or has this been a sudden onset last night..? God sakes if your b-i-l hadn't been there she wouldn't be here today bless her heart!
Oh Chrissy, I am so sorry to hear about you mom. It's never easy loosing anyone, let alone the one person that has known you all your life. Your mother must be a wonderful mother. You have shown that to you family is foremost in your life, and I think that you must have learned the importance of motherhood from example. I'll be thinking of your strength, and hoping you will not need it anytime in the near future. (((Hugs)))
