Is the pulmonary embolism not caused by a blood clot in the veins of the legs creating a blockage to the lungs and so preventing her breathing and stopping her heart from beating? It must be very frustrating for you to not be able to be there...a terrifically anxious time!!
Yes, could be since she's been so weak lately and not moving that she got a blood clot in her legs but I'm not sure. She just got out of the hospital a week ago and was getting physical therapy at home to make her a little stronger but then this happened.
Good morning to you all on yet another Friday, its just on freezing point here and very quiet, I woke at 6 am feeling great after a good nights sleep. I hope all your news is good today and you can look forward to a relaxing weekend. I came across this song last night so thought it would suit this morning. Mike Batt – Lady Of The Dawn Lyrics [Chorus] Lady of the dawn, you opened up my sleeping eyes, I never knew that I was born. Well, I like you for your body, but I love you 'cause you're wise, I am your prisoner, oh my lady of the dawn. You are the dealer, In this strange, uncertain game, Take my cards and deal again, I can feel my life is changing. Woman, Now you've taught me how to learn, Teach me to earn The love you give to me, The love you give to me. [Chorus] I was waiting, In the darkness of the night, Only now I see the light Softly shining in the silence. Woman, If you really hold the key, Turn it for me, And help me understand, And help me understand. [Chorus]
Good Morning Terry and everyone... It's absolutely freezing out there...Pitch dark and -1 degree now at 7am....and set to get a high of 4 degrees today, although it's finally supposed to be sunny at least for the rest of the day ! About time we saw some sun...but I've got 3 layers on for the day, cuz it's gonna be really cold. Gotta watch out for black ice today on my drive in..I have to drive all the way downhill through 5 miles of wooded roads before I even get to the motorway and that's scary when you can't see the ice in the dark . Anyway it's my last day at work today , I've actually got the whole weekend off *yeah*.. Have a good day everyone.....and thoughts with @Chrissy Page
Underfoot conditions are more suited to Torvill and Dean this morning. We have a bright blue sky and while the sun may be shining, it is generating about as much heat as an ice lolly. Heroically, I slithered down the high street, although it was more in self-interest than anything else. With a book to promote and sell, I dropped off a couple of copies in our local Fair Trade shop (picking up some Earl Grey tea in the process) and sportingly donated a copy to the library. I may venture out for a few minutes this afternoon, but only "may."
Okay…..Good morning Wow, black ice. We don't want you having any calamities Holly so take it slow. Stay warm everyone and no slipping and sliding around Tom. It will be a high of 57 today but will be colder next week so I'll save my moaning and groaning for next week. Chrissy, I hope your mother is doing better today.
Mornin, from the east bank. Yesterday it was a sunny near 50 degrees for a high. Today the forecast high is 33 degrees. By Sunday, our high is to be -2. C'mon now, either stay cold or stay warm, fer Pete's sake. Been shopping for insurance. Got a headache from the phone ringing constantly. Finally got tired of all the calls from insurance agents that I turned off the ringer. I clicked on a site to see what was available and was suddenly inundated with phone calls. Seems my insurance company don't want to pay my claims anymore. Fine. They ain't the only company out there. So, I'm off to a new day in a bad mood. But, that'll change. Be careful out there. Keep lookin behind you. Someone may be following you.
GOOOOD morning, All! The word of the day is *brrrrrr.* Still icy here. I'll be doing my store list and menu today but otherwise it should be a relatively easy day. Speaking of relatives, sending hugs and good thoughts to @Chrissy Page and @Cody Fousnaugh this morning and hoping that all is well with those family members. Coffee anyone? (No I do NOT still have my Christmas decorations up! This pic was taken previously.) It's Godiva Chocolate Truffle coffee... I don't usually like flavored coffees, but a gift is a gift, eh?!) Uh oh! The image link is asking for a URL and I don't have one, just the pic from my computer. Hope you can see if if I simply paste instead of adding a link. Can you?
Whoa, @Lara Moss ! Bet you get great radio reception with those things in yer hair! Hope the aliens can't tune in or this could be a menace to all of society! Seriously, my mom used to put "curlers" in my hair... those pink hard plastic monstrosities. I don't remember having to sleep in them, but maybe sometimes. I *do* remember the pinching when they got tangled and had to be pulled out. Yikes! Not fun.
Good Morning, Y'all. It's a cold one here. Foggy night, lots of dampness on the branches this morning. Already had the 3 kitties out on the balcony with me while I was feeding the birds and attempting to get a few pics. Strays are fed as well, and trash is out, since it's Friday. They pick up 2x week here, thankfully. I generate a lot of trash, but I swear it's all from the kitties . I might try to go for a walk later if I can swing it energy-wise. I just heard sirens, but hopefully it's nothing serious. I can hear the birds, but none have visited that I know of yet, at least not that I've seen. They probably all came for a visit while I was downstairs making coffee and breakfast. Finally sitting down to guzzle some java which I really need today, and eat breakfast. It sounds as if everyone is up and about. @Chrissy Page I'm glad your mom has a diagnosis, that helps to determine how to proceed. I'm sure she's probably already on blood thinners. My ex has similar issues, and was in a coma and on ventilator for quite a while at one point, but he's doing o.k. now, other than all of his health issues. Hopefully it will be the same for your mom.
Good morning all you early birds. I too start early, but that is also when I do anything that needs to be done, but by 1m my back gives out. Right now I am at a little cafe called Panera Bread. Their coffee is better than fast food places. I'm waiting for Izzy to get out of the groomer's. I hope they don't take too much hair off because it's chilly out there, and his little eight pounds gets cold real quick. Has anyone heard from @Chrissy Page this morning? I hope the best for her family. @Cody Fousnaugh , The things you spoke of do make a difference, and I have always thought that funerals were for show anyway. For myself, I am to be cremated, no service at all, and my granddaughter will disburse my ashes into the Gulf of Mexico. That's all I want.
Ina, I used to love to get the warm spinach/artichoke/egg/cheese soufflé in a croissant-like bread at Panera…but it's quite high in calories and addictive (540 calories). I would highly recommend it as a one time shot though! haha Mari I remember as a teen, trying to use beer cans to roll my hair but didn't work for me. Also remember pouring the beer in a bowl and letting it go stale and then combing it through my hair before rolling it. It seriously worked to make the curls stay forever! It didn't leave any beer odor…as far as I know
Good morning everyone, no news yet today on my mom. I'm hoping they'll be able to take the ventilator out today. Thanks Ina and everyone for the concern and good wishes, they really mean a lot. Hope she will pull through with the blood thinners but it seems this year she has been in and out of the hospital a few times. She has gotten too weak and needs oxygen 24/7 now. I'm like you, Ina...have to get things done early but I've always been like that even before any back issues. I have a week left at home before I go back to my daughter's for about 10 days. Have to watch the two older boys. Glad you have the weekend off, Holly...you need a rest!
