Good Sunday Morning, Everyone! It's a bright and sunny day here. It's a bit chillier today, so I warmed up the house baking the cake finally. I ran out of energy last night, but got a burst this morning, even before coffee. The rest of the day will be a slow one, though, since it is Sunday. I think I'll read a bit and maybe watch a few shows, as my DVR is too crowded. Have a great day All!
Overcast here in CT. Thinking about going out and finding the new Costco store a few towns over but what I really want to do is Nothing. Just watch movies on Netflix or Amazon, which is pretty much nothing. Work yesterday was very busy. Well, I will clean the house anyway. Everyone: enjoy the day!
Thanks Ruby ................I have just got back from a great time with my daughters, we had a Sunday roast dinner at a local hostelry and then went on to see a movie in a cinema/theatre at a small market town about 17 miles from Worcester. It's a beautifully restored Art Deco one, and fairly unique in that you have swivel armchairs and tables where they serve you food and drinks from the bar by you texting them on your phone. Have been before and loved the experience it's like being at home, but with a waiter service. The movie was excellent though it may not appeal to everyone being very English, it starred Dame Maggie Smith who was in Downton Abbey if anyone saw that. It's title is "Lady in a Van" and based on a true story. A few pics of the cinema/theatre
I've heard of those type of theaters but never lived where they had one. Will google and see where we have them in the US. https://www.amctheatres.com/food-and-drink/dine-in/locations Nothing close...
Yes I thought you would have them there, this one is unusual in that the chairs are completely free so you can move them to an place you want, seems like it would be chaotic, but it works really well.
You are very fortunate, Terry....today a movie with in dining experience, tomorrow off to Sri Lanka with your love for 3 weeks! Doesn't get better than that...no need to win a lottery, seems you've won the life lottery.
Thank you Chrissy, I do realise how lucky I am and as you say the lottery money would add nothing, though I would give it all away so someone would benefit I guess.
While waiting for the movie to start we got into conversation with a women sitting nearby, she said she had seen David Bowie perform in this theatre back in the 1980s, and when he came on stage you could actually physically feel his charismatic energy, she and others in the audience remarked that they had never felt such a presence before. Sadly I never saw him live but he was a very special gifted performer that's for sure.
Hi you two Pages. (Giggle). We have had what we call Dinner Theaters here is the Houston area for awhile now. Movie, drinks, food, and comfy chairs, but I have that at home, and I can wear my PJ's.
It's always interesting what tidbits of info you learn while out and just waiting for something. I'm pretty quiet but surprisingly I always talk to strangers. Lol, @Ina I. Wonder!
But you don't get to have interesting conversations with strangers Ina Yes the Page family is ever expanding all are welcome
