Joe...this one has to fit the bill nicely with the title of this thread. We were walking around an old castle ruins in the park yesterday and this guy was laying on the bench, talking on his phone... I couldn't get too close to him without invading his space, so I used full zoom on him...
The Big Bench (Broken Hill, New South Wales) - In September 2002 as part of the 'Landscapes & Backgrounds' exhibition, this giant park bench was constructed on a high hill called The Line of Lode, in the centre of the city.
OOOh that's a coincidence...of all the fairly unknown places in the world, one of our members here is from Broken hill...I'll send her a link to this picture..I'm not sure if she look at this thread.. I'm sure she must know this bench..

I know this bench well @Joe Riley ..it's up on a scimp dump ( all the processed dirt dug out of the mines) It also has allot of old machinery sitting up there they used in the mines ...Mines are all closed ...
Bela Matyas Feher Apr 6 sitting on a park bench it sounds simple: to sit. to remove the weight from one's legs, and relax the body, and enjoy the simple act of doing nothing but sitting. no phones, no music, no voices, no books, no activities. just me and a bench in a park - time to think, time to reflect, watch the people going by, observe the birds flitting about, see life unfold, and understand - what it means to sit.
