Pit....waiting on staff to assist me in getting a Disabled card for car. Puffed up like a Walrus. Peak...sooner or later I will get back home
Those Canada Geese are a nuisance. I hit one with my Jeep. He walked out in the middle of the street and since there was someone riding my rear bumper I didn't dare jam on the brakes. I don't know who I was more furious with, but the guy behind me passed and was laughing his head off. I was really steamed.
Pit: All set to go shopping when the head of the Corporation that owns this facility shut us down. I'll have to wait until next week when I am down at my son's house.
So you are all basically quarantined at the retirement home, even though no one there has the virus , @Lois Winters ? Will they let you go out to even go to your son’s house ?
Yes, Yvonne since I am just going to a private home. That's utter nonsense as I'll be shopping down there. And, you should have seen the number of people strolling in and out of here all day long. But that's corporate for you. Granted, there are people here who are absolutely well into dementia and not responsible so as far as I am concerned, keep them under wraps. Many are worked up over this.
My peak of the day: I was calling my dentist office to pay on my account with an expectation of paying $209. My account balance was $160.+. Paid the full balance.
Pit......Spring has come and gone here. Had some beautiful days, was a tease, reality is that it's still March. Wednesday, +8 sunny, song birds, yesterday, -2, cold north wind at 50, wind chill -12, no song birds, today, -11, wind chill, -18, will not be any songbirds, they have to stay, can't fly back south because of Coronavirus.
Peak this morning! Went to store this morning for 7am open and they were already open at 6:30. Found toilet paper today.
Peak of my day: On a whim after grocery shopping headed over to Office Depot and was greeted by a big red and white sign 'STORE CLOSING'. I was going to get some photo paper there. Whoo hoo! $3.99 a pack for 150 sheets of the HP's glossy type. I purchased the last two on the shelf.
Tuesday we become baby sitters. Closed schools until second week in April. Daycare follows the school schedule. My daughter works for a contractor on a school project.Even they are being put off school grounds. Her commute is going from an easy 27 miles to better than fifty to their corporate office. At least she gets mileage over 20. We will get a thanks guys, I don't know what I would do with out you!
