I won't wash a whole floor on my hands and knees...not because of my back which would probably hurt but because of my boney knees...ouch! I do small areas sometimes...usually corners or places the mop doesn't reach.
I’m with @Chrissy Cross and @Gloria Mitchell on the doing of floors on hands and knees. I have those boney knee too, and both were operated on 30 years ago. So just thinking about it makes me wince. @Holly Saunders, am I wrong, I thought you worked in the medical field? If so young lady, you should know better. It’s time to be kind to yourself. I’m just hoping it was a small kitchen. You might need to place something like a cane along one of the baseboards, so that if you end up on the floor again you’ll have something you can get to that you use for leverage to get up with. My lecture is over, I know your painful knees are do that job well. Pit: It’s bill paying day for me. Peak: Watching Bobert string Christmas lights all over the outside of the cabin with a huge grin on his face. Of course he says he doesn’t need the light, but he wants me to have them again.
LOL Really never thought about it or knew the difference. English wasn’t my best subject in high school or college. Again, LOL
No @Ina I. Wonder , although I just took early retirement 5 months ago for health reasons....i didn't work in the medical field... . Good idea about the cane by the baseboard... I do prefer to do the floor on my hands and knees it gets it cleaner than the mop..but I might have to resort to the Mop more often.. Good for Bobert getting the lights up.. it'll cheer you up at Christmas..
I refuse to wash floors on my hands and knees. I had to as a kid and I swear I have flashbacks if I have to do it. Mop all the way!!! Highlight so far, I remembered to delay by shopping trip to the grocery by the high school so I don't run into the kids at lunch invasion. Then I'll be home with the cats. Always the peak.
Pit: Feeling crappy like I'm coming down with something...achey and still in my jammies. Had much planned for today, don't think it will get done or even started...oh well. Peak: did manage laundry but it's still drying so the hard part isn't done yet. Hope I didn't catch the Cal Poly Plague as it's called. All freshmen seem to be sick constantly, usually mono.
No real pit for today yet....aside from the news. No peak either, except getting all the grocery stuff put up.
Oh so sorry. I swear I live in fear of colds and the flu especially because it's such a hassle calling in with my job. But my days of working sick are over. I did too many of them. Even had a boss get mad and hang up on me when I called in. Never know where you will pick something up.
Colds and flu is one reason we don't attend a church during our winter months. To much coughing and sneezing going on. Wife got over her sinus cold/chest congestion a couple of weeks ago, just to have a girl, that works close to her, come to work sick this past Monday. Now my wife is back with a sinus cold, but at least no chest congestion. The girl wasn't at work yesterday. Wife did get her flu shot, so HOPEFULLY, her sinus cold won't get to bad. So, so many people out running around that have some type of cold.........including my wife.
Pit: I have PT this morning and I haven't gone since before I left for my daughter's house and I'm achey as it is. Peak: it's by Trader Joe's and my cupboard is bare...I need food.
Pit : hubs came home late last night from France with a stinking cold...he had today off (not sick, natural day off) so he just sat around doing very little and coughing and spluttering.. he's back into work tomorrow tho'.. Also it's been absolutely freeeeezing cold here today..I wish it would snow it would make it a little warmer. Also PIT.... My new bed which was supposed to have been delivered at the latest today 9this was the last day of the 3 day slot they gave me)..time slot given this afternoon by text was latest delivery by 5.40pm... it's now 8.30pm..and nothing, and of course no- one is answering my calls at this time of night. Peak:...Managed to get into town while leaving hubs indoors..to collect some prescription meds.. and get the grocery shopping in... that's not much of a peak because I was in pain... but it's the best I can do...
Pit: Wife has a sinus cold back, but at least no chest congestion. Got it from a lady at work on Monday. She got her Senior Flu Shot and doctor gave her an anti-biotic to take for 5 days. Peak: Got our new door lighted Christmas Wreath up and new lighted Candy Canes put along sidewalk. Watched Tiger Woods play his first round in the Bahamas. The dude still has IT in golf! Pit (for SIL): On a Timeshare trip in Tennessee, but her girlfriend is coughing like mad. Trip isn't much fun when your "traveling friend" gets sick.
@Holly Saunders - What rotten luck, can't stand it when the partner is ill, went through it recently meself - not a good time Hope he soon recovers, wishing you strength too, it is bloomin cold !
