Funny, but my last reply had at the end of it..........."So, goodbye". Take that for whatever it means. It's been a nice ride.

Thanks Holly, but I seriously doubt I'd be missed that much at all. Heck, I'll bet some members even have me on "Hide", but that's ok.

Pit today: Woke up so excited I would be spending time playing with my youngest grandkids today. As the morning ticked by the headache I woke up with got worse, then nausea started and a few aches and pains...and a little later frequent trips to the toilet began. I hated calling my daughter and having to cancel for today but with all that has been going on she had no problem understanding something like this is out of my hands.

I'm drinking one of my yogurt smoothies now hoping that will "calm the storm" and praying that my body is just reacting to the change in weather again. No fever so that is good news.

My Peak is that I am thankful when things like this happen that I am retired and can stay home and take care of myself.

For whatever reason, I did believe that all was well at the end of the day.
Thank you for the praise and I do still feel the same as I did yesterday. I rarely change my mind about anything, but that said I do have a little more to say on the subject at hand.

There are times when we say or write something that, while very innocent and praiseworthy, can stand as an open challenge to others.
If I said that my wife was, say, the very best cook in the world, it might stand as a challenge to Sheldon or Patsy or whoever considers themselves to be more than just adequate in the kitchen. Which, is precisely what happened yesterday.
It is a given that you do indeed love and are extremely proud of your wife but I can see by reading what the ladies here on the forum wrote that they were a little incensed by the fact that you seemed to compare and pit your wife against the other women on the forum.

I do honestly believe that there was no harm meant in any way nor did you intend to raise the ire of those who do shoot, fish, spit, ride horses and can arm wrestle with a polar bear or whatever.
Women are just as competitive as men but a lot more complex in their dealings with levels of proficiency so I was not surprised to find the good ladies here ready to retaliate the only way they could possibly do at this time which is............write.
They certainly cannot prove they can compete in an open competition because let's face the facts, you are there and they are wherever they are unable to physically defend their positions. On all fronts, writing can hurt some feelings but not as much as say, if someone did show up and wanted to compete for the trophy.

Bottom line here is that sometimes we guys just need to quit chasing our tails when things go south and change subjects.

Cody, no one wants you to leave the forum. We just want you to let us have our opinions too and respect them instead of trying to make us see things your way.

This wasn't the problem I had with Cody's posts...I'm glad to see how proud and awesome he feels his wife is, most wives want their husbands to feel that way about them and vice versa.

The problem for me was when he said those things she did were "manly" things. I don't agree with that.
