That is one thing Ive never had, nor an earache but hope you find relief....Ive heard they suck!! I bettter knock on wood before I get both together.
A drop or two of hydrogen peroxide might boil some of the infection out but as much as I hate them, a couple of doses of antibiotics might be the more comfortable way to go.
Piggyback on what @Chrissy Cross said. I had them both the ear infection was the worst because it messes with your balancing and sight not so much as the pain that may come with it. Even worse was getting treatment. The doctor kept telling me to keep my eyes open but I felt like I was going to pass out . I really can't explain how it felt but I was queasy throughout the treatment of just one ear.
Hydrogen peroxide is my go-to treatment for anything in my nose or ear. I remember reading that if you start to come down with a head cold, that peroxide in the ears will help for that, too. I have one of those nose-inhaler/nasal spray bottles that I emptied out and filled with peroxide , and that is how I spray it into my nose.
Hydrogen Peroxide determines whether or not you have an ear infection. Place a drop in your ear. If infected with bacteria, etc. the peroxide will bubble and you will hear it.
ip os jard to yype wrerimg carppl tunne; braves. ( it is hard to type wearing carpal tunnel braces ) Was wearing both my Carpal Tunnel braces and attempting to type. Took them off but that kind of defeats the purpose of having them, doesn't it?
The only advice I can give here is to NOT use one of the OTC steroid sprays if you have an infection of any kind as it generally causes it to spread. When Docs prescribe them, they usually are accompanied by antibiotics of some kind to limit the spread of infection. I guess this spread happened while I was dealing with earthquakes and son's wedding. I missed it till now. Poor @Yvonne Smith and her ordeal. That is one reason I don't always like NPs and PAs. They don't have sufficient clinical training to deal with what is expected of them.
I just have to BRAG.... My second oldest grandson who just started high school this year got his report card...and it’s perfect and he is ranked NUMBER 1 out of 709 students. Now he just has to keep that up until graduation and he’ll be valedictorian.. He is the grandson that was top student in 8th grade. YAY Nicholas❣️
Thanks @Yvonne Smith ....now his older brother Michael, the sophomore at Cal Poly, is slightly diffrent, lol.
My husband was involved in a Car crash this morning on his way to work.!! he'd driven off the motorway onto the uphill slip road (exit road) which is on a bend, and was stopped behind waiting traffic at the junction, when he was rear ended hard by a young woman in a smaller car Fortunately my husband is ok, as is the woman..but my husband drives a high end very expensive sports car , and the damage to the rear of his car is considerable!...her Insurance company are going to have to pay out a LOT of money and her premiums will go sky high next year!! My husband isn't an angry man so when he got out of the car to survey the damage , he simply said ''Good morning, thank you very much for that'' ..and she started screaming it wasn't her fault, which of course it was because my o/h was stationary .. however once she'd calmed down they exchanged insurance details, and he's just spent 2 hours on the phone to insurance companies etc...and a new courtesy car will arrive here today for him, and I'll have to go and fetch him from work 40 mile round trip..later!!
yes it's fortunate no-one was hurt, although the insurance company have told him to watch out in the next few days for whiplash.. sometimes it takes a day or 2 . Hubs isn't the type of person who would claim if he wasn't hurting, but he did say his head was rocked back and forth against the headrest when he got hit...so hopefully they're won't be any injury showing itself later..
True about whiplash! Long time ago same type of accident happened to me....my son was driving though and we were at a stop sign and got rear ended. The driver of the other car was very apologetic and did admit it was his fault. He was looking for something in his glove compartment and didn’t realize the stop sign and stopped car. I didn’t feel anything but had my neck checked out...got a collar to wear but I didn’t feel anything until the next day and then...OUCH! I don’t even think there was any damage to the rear of the car.
