Arrgggh....coffee is like water...you don't realise just how far a little bit goes until you spill it... and whole container...wow, a lot of cleaning up to do... My peak of the day so far... if we'll call it a Peak is to drop my car off to the garage to Have it's annual MOT... My Pit...might be that it needs work done before it can pass ...fingers crossed it doesn't...
To add insult to my day...one of the recliners we bought 5 mos ago is acting up. The mfgr wants us to pay for hauling back and forth to the store....which then is shipped off to warehouse. Bottom line....screwed again. Woe is me
Ive had it happen but not dropping it but not placing the pot in the right position and when I came back...coffee everywhere.
My day for the Pits...got a call have rushed my father in law to hospital .Hes 92...very low oxygen level. We are on stand by...may have to leave later. Catch all you folks later on .
LOLO mercy this day has been...different. My father in law has been admitted with CHF. Has been a while since his last bout with this. Drs. will keep him tonight to remove fluid from lungs. Then i got a call from oldest daughter, to go check on her 11 year old- who had just charged $25 to her mom's credit card for Uber! After calmly listening to her story, I can best sum it up thusly- her aunt yesterday was in need of auto assistance. this bothered my GD (who is an asspie) ..so when the tiny little add at the bottom of her phone offered to send a gift card of her choice- she picked Uber. The charges showed up on my daughters phone immediately, as her cc in of is tied her daughters phone. I asked GD walk back to our apt. and have lunch with me. I made sandwich of her choosing. But, she did not eat it- I asked why. Because I did not want to hurt your feelings by saying no. Sigh, girl you had better learn now...you can not please or help everyone- that is not your job. Anyway, I tried to explain to her that it would have been best, had she just said no thanks. Long story short- she has the weight of the world on her shoulders and no 11 year old should have to feel that way. Calgon take me away .....
Good Grief, what an eclectic and stressful day you've had @Gloria, I hope things improve tomorrow... My peak? : The car passed it's MOT nothing needs doing ...just gotta pick it up in the morning...
Peak (yesterday): Wife got her flu shot and we got back home just before a downpour happened. Watched the AMA that we had recorded. Christina Aguilera done a fantastic tribute to Whitney Houston and Diana Ross got a AMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
my peak so far, I did not get up until 7:15. Yesterday must have done me in. Not looking for any pits today
Peaks (so far today): Cleaned up the glass dining room table for tomorrow. Getting ready to make Deviled Eggs. Changing bed linens. Would like to say, “getting things ready for a family Thanksgiving Dinner” , but that isn’t going to happen anymore. Just wife and I, but that’s the way it’s been for the last 14 years. We still have a nice Thanksgiving!!
So far the day has been petty good, nothing really great or really awful. We went to the fitness center this morning, then this afternoon, I made the potato salad and deviled gags for tomorrow, and made us some chocolate chip fiber cookies, which are just finishing up in the oven. The little turkey is in the sink thawing, which is what it has been doing all day, and in the morning, I will put it in the turkey roaster to cook for dinner in the afternoon. I think that we are just ready to relax, and I will read while Bobby probably watches television. The weather is still cold; but supposed to warm up a little the next few days, and on Saturday, Bobby’s brother and girlfriend will be here to visit us. Jeff lives and works in the Netherlands, so they do not make it over to the states very often. It has been about 4 years since we last saw him.
MY Peak :...Collected the car from the garage , nothing to pay, because hubs already paid in advance for the test, and nothing else needed done. Afterwards went shopping for some new clothes, got 6 items all half price in the sales..and the great thing was that because everyone is waiting for Black friday sales.. there was hardly anyone in town or in the stores.. fabulous!! My Pit :... feeling really poorly after I got home....think I've picked up some kinda bug.....
My father in law passed away early this am. I will not be on here for several days. When we get back will try and catch up with you all. He was 92....love to you all.
