One of the interesting things that is being pushed in the news right now, is that Biden removed President Trump’s “Diet Coke button”, the little wooden box with the presidential seal that sat on his desk. However, when you search for information about this little box, it has been there at least as far back as Lyndon Johnson, and the purpose was for the president to be able to call for the Secret Service in an emergency. There are pictures of this box sitting on the desks of previous presidents, not just on President Trump’s desk, so it is obviously not just a button for the president to summon a butler bringing Coke, or something else to the president. Since Biden does not have this button on his desk, does this actually mean that he can’t summon the secret service guards ? Here is an interesting find. The first picture plainly says that President Biden is going to be signing more executive orders, so we know that it was on the news recently; but the picture itself appears to be from several years ago , when Biden was VP and had flown to Iraq. Why would they not use a recent picture ?
