I would have liked to see someone rebut each of the points. That didn't happen, which is telling. I am not anti-Trump but I have no respect for his schoolyard behavior. He needs to shut up, grow up and build a coalition. Otherwise, he's off to hand the dems another 4 years in the White House.

FYI, that article isn't leftist propaganda. It is more the consensus of many conservatives with whom Trump needs to build a coalition rather than insult. Otherwise he just won't have the electoral votes. BTW, poll popularity doesn't equate to electors.

And that, my dears, is why I too will vote for President Trump in 2024.

Written by someone who is not a conservative, and who seemingly hated Trump from the start. There's nothing wrong with that, as he's welcome to his opinion but, while I try to respect the opinions of members of this forum, he's not a member, and, from what you quoted, I wasn't at all intrigued by what he had to say. That's all.

So, am I to take it that outside opinions are not welcome here? That's closed-loop entropy in the making and not the fodder for critical thinking. That said, OK, I can read the terrain. .

I dutifully went down the points you posted and to tell the truth, every one of them with the exception of prosecuting Hillary, is fairly easy to answer. I too am seriously disappointed that Hillary isn’t behind bars.
You’re not an uneducated gentleman John so I really trust that you too can answer those charges without even having to search far for the answers.

The start for many of those charges hang on the shoulders of a Democrat majority Congress and a couple of them hang on the shoulders of Governors and Mayors of individual Sovereign states and cities. If they refuse Governmental assistance, so be it.
Also think, “omnibus bills” and what happens when they are proposed and presented to the President. If there are 9 bills that are good for the country and 1 that isn’t, it gets signed.

So far as Fauci and Covid goes, who better to pick than the head of the Institute for Infectious Diseases? Most certainly, the Surgeon General approved of him so unless Trump knows a heck-of-a-lot about infectious diseases, he did what anyone should do……listen.
Note: He also “listened” when he chose Gen. Mattis to create the downfall of ISIS and didn’t attempt to micro-manage what the General did.

Illegal immigration? Think about it John. Stay in Mexico initiative? Got bids for and had examples of a wall built by individual contractors, chose one and started building?

Like I wrote, you too know the answers because I am absolutely convinced that you’re not lacking in intelligence in any form so to go down each one and re-explain what you already know would be redundant would it not?

Notably, I too do not like Trump’s chatterboxing nor do I like him affixing labels on those he is running against but that’s Trump. He did well with the time he had so I imagine, IF he gets elected will do a good job this time as well.

Edit: The Taiwan thing. The President of the United States has no say in the matter. The U.N. does so why would Trump go out on a limb and erroneously declare a territory a nation when the United Nations clearly didn’t at the time?

I've been doing my best to figure out what's wrong with you, but I'm sorry. It doesn't make one bit of sense to me. You posted a link to someone's opinion piece, then you posted quotes that were apparently from the opinion piece. There's nothing wrong with that, but neither is there anything obligating me or anyone else to comment on his opinions, point by point. You seem to have taken personal offense because I suggested that I wasn't impressed with the guy, who, I later found, simply complains about whatever anyone else is doing or not doing.

Why are you taking this personally? I post links to stuff all the time, and I don't care whether or not you agree with it or even read it. I wouldn't be particularly bothered if you disagreed with something that I've said, but I'm certainly not going to take offense on the part of some other author who published something in a blog or magazine. It seems that your feelings are hurt, and that doesn't make any sense to me.

Clearly, you were impressed with the article you quoted by someone whose name I've already forgotten, and I didn't realize that I was going to hurt your feelings by not being similarly impressed. I've heard all that stuff before, and some of it I agree with, but most of it I considered to be BS, which is what I said. This is a discussion forum, and, while I probably wouldn't dismiss what you had to say off-hand, I feel under no obligation to read or respond to every point ever made by everyone who doesn't like Trump. Had you expressed your own opinions, in your own words, I probably wouldn't have dismissed them out of hand. I may not have agreed with them, but I would have been more likely to address them. There's an entire industry of anti-Trump stuff on the Internet, though, and I'm not going to devote my life to refuting this stuff. I'm not Trump's apologist.

You seem to be desperately grasping for a victim card here, and I don't get it. I'm sorry.

I don't see that John is grasping for a victim card; he was just posting what many conservatives believe. John stated in another thread that he voted for Trump twice, so I don't believe he has ulterior motives beyond the same beliefs I have... Trump has a LOT of negatives that some people just don't want to see. In my opinion he lost 2020 because of his personality and ego, and that has not been toned down in the least.

Shirley--it's great that we can all discuss our opinions and agree/disagree. I have never liked Trump the man but he has been the lesser of two evils in the last 2 elections or I could not have voted for him. Sad state of affairs in this country.

Why is he angry, then? He wasn't even the one I was disagreeing with. I was disagreeing with the guy whose article he posted a link to, yet he's mad because I wasn't impressed with the points that this guy had made. Now he's doing the thing that I see from liberals all the time, where, unless everyone agrees with whatever they have to say, and follows every link they post, they're not welcome here. That doesn't make any sense. He's offended because I thought what's-his-name's article was mostly BS, and that seems to be grasping for a victim card. Had he posted his own opinions, I might have addressed what he had to say if I had the time to do so, but I am under no obligation to this author, whom I had never heard of. I don't care if someone criticizes Trump. I've criticized Trump several times.

I dismiss most links out of hand, particularly when they lead to an opinion piece rather than to factual information. I rarely click on links, and, when I do, I generally skim them to see if there's anything of interest. I wouldn't have commented on this guy's opinion piece at all, but John posted excerpts from it, which I judged to be mostly BS.

I don't believe Trump lost the 2020 election. It's possible but I just don't think so.
