You're welcome, you have me thinking I saw it too, but not sure where. And I wasn't sure if it was me you were asking.
Tips about getting work done. Well done is better than well said. – Benjamin Franklin How to Get Things Done
@Ken Anderson, I went back to page 9 and saw where Mary was talking about her GSD puppy, so now I know where it was said.
I'm trying to do what I posted on post # 137. Well done is better than well said. So far have a pot of chicken leg quarters cooking for dogs, cornbread, pintos, and cole slaw for Marie and me. Cleaned the stove top first. Fed dogs, two ate and have to clean heater vent filter and bleach drain line. Gonna put the new tail light on the boat trailer, now that it's on the outside of the fence where Leo can't get to it, and then put wires on, for the trailer hooks-up connection, for the truck lights. So many things to do, but trying this new motivating way, to get things done that I read off #137. Wish me luck.
Speaking about things never slows down. A week ago Marie went for her trail walk and came up on a young doe, who freaked out and ran into a fence post and seemed to break her neck. I tried getting her back up, for thirty minutes or more and her back legs worked but her front legs wouldn't. I loaded her on a lawn mower trailer and brought her to the house and called Fish and Wild Life and told them that she was still alive but couldn't walk. They said we could take her Wildlife Preserve, but as soon as we left they would put her down. So she gave me permission to shoot her and skin her for the freezer, so I did. I've skinned many animals growing up, but had rather it had been an older Buck. I couldn't let her keep suffering. "Photo" below.
Seed in starter pellets. Lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, bunching onions, cucumbers, a couple of sunflowers, a couple of lemon tree seeds, etc. Some are up already and some are planted today. Well done.
I wrote this back on September 15- 2022, and still have not started on the porch yet, but will go get three screen doors, lumber, and materials that I don't have, to get started this 1-18-2023.
Instead of screening the porch right now, Marie wanted to start a new trail. We take these photos for the kids, so they can see the projects we're doing. Before we started. After working on it, Marie pulled some vines. Vines popped and down she went. Molley was looking at her like get up fool.
Took a ride to the feed store today, and got feed for dogs and chickens, and some hay for chics to learn how to lay eggs. Van did great after my work on it. I had a leak in tranny pan, so I order another one which is a lot deeper pan about 6 months ago and a different filter that is longer reach, due to dept. Things are never done, as for catching up, but looking back, I'm glad for what has been done. The porch is still waiting on me. Been busy here as always between what happens and what needs attention.
Its rained last couple days so no work on trail. Will wait till it dries out some so maybe get back to it Friday.
Humidity is only 76% right now so may dry out earlier enough to work. Problems is I've ignored house windows this past spring, so they really need a good cleaning, first time I didn't clean the windows, blinds and drapes. My ladder climbing days are over so the upstairs and top of window will be a challenge. Jake and I both wants to get to the path. Jakes interest is in the old well.
