Sometimes the saying, "you get what you pay for", holds true. It's always something else to do. I had to replace the sensor on the differential, which was making the speed omitter, go nuts so I ordered one for about $29.00 off Amazon and changed it but it kept jumping anyway. So I went to Ford Place where they told me that it was no longer being made and that I could get one equivalent at Orielly's for about $49.00, so I did, and it fixed it.

Now that I've changed the throttle sensor twice with Discount Auto Parts for about $39.00 a piece, it still acts up at low speeds sometimes. Anyway went back to Orielly's again and bought a Motorcraft throttle sensor for $107.00 to see if that fixes it, by paying more for a better part.

    It is always something.

I have had similar issues with Amazon autoparts.

    Still not slowing down here.

Yeah weird how the two sensors look just alike, but don't function the same. I did get the throttle sensor on the van yesterday and have to test drive to see if it shifts right. This third time changing it and I had forgotten how I had done it, so took a little longer to remember that I had to remove the fuel injection end to get to the screws because Ford puts a throttle sensor underneath it.

The last two sensors came from Discount Auto Parts, the first time they gave me the wrong one which had a different plug, so I just rewired the old plug on it and had the same problem, so went back and got another from them with the right plug and changed it out and still sometimes at low speeds it shifts in and out of gear, I decided to get a Motorcraft part, after getting bad sensor for differential from Amazon and the Orielys one fixed it, maybe $107.00 not too much to pay to end that nightmare once and for all, hopefully.:)

Update, the van test drive yesterday; to the dentist, 60 mile round trip, and after replacing the throttle sensor with a motor-craft part. It shifted unlike it has since I first bought it, in 2003. Sure it cost more but it was well worth it, to help slow down some of the unnecessary work and repeat things more than once because of a bad part that looks just like each other, a better price is not always a good idea. Live and learn, I guess.

I think I get it now, I'm trying to work smarter, not harder. :)

Changed the upper brake light yesterday on the van, because it kept pulling a code for it, so after checking, I found it wasn't working and it was really cracked and old-looking, still have to tint the windows and repair and paint the roof too.

Also, this 17-year-old Molly has turned into my new before 6 a.m. alarm clock. She just barks and has the loudest, "Sherill bark", on the planet it seems. As I had spoken of last year she got to where she would not eat anything, for 17 days, only drinking well water. I had to tote her in and outside for her to pee.

I just knew she was dead, so I said a prayer for her, to please not let her suffer, and on day 17 she started eating again, Marie's, salmon patties and came back to life. I still can't believe she's going, I thought 17 days she would have starved to death, still not sure what I'm gonna do about her, being my new alarm clock.

Foxy pushes her buttons at times, but I guess, it keeps her blood pumping she keeps on keeping on. :)

Cut grass all day around here, I think it will be the last cutting, until spring, I hope so anyway. Got some gas yesterday and was a little surprised it hasn't skyrocketed yet, with these wars happening. It's still not cheap, but I figured that I best get some for when I need it, or if it gets to where you can't get it.

Sometimes I wonder how we kept up when we worked a job all week, seeing how much has to be done after retiring. Sort of like the more you make the more it takes, that always seemed to be true to me too. Hope everyone is doing well. :)

When I went the other day to get gas for the mower, coming back hit bumps on on the dirt road and tore the exhaust pipe off. :( So I thought about a way to do a quick fix that works. I ordered some JB weld wrap and it's awesome, set up in 15 minutes turns to steel.:)

Has anyone here ever tried it?

I used some exhaust wrap years ago, but I don't recall if it was J-B Weld or not. I have used plenty of the regular J-B Weld over the years though, and, while it is not as good as welding, it works in places welding doesn't and seems to do the job.

True, I generally weld instead, but so busy, that I figured I would try it for a quick fix, and surprised me, it hardened fast and strong, with no leaks. Will see how long it lasts until I have to change the exhaust out.

This is a review of someone else who used it.

I have a 2000 Accord with dual exhaust. Over 5 years ago, the right side was rusted through and I used ExhaustWeld to patch it. As you can see in the third photo, it’s still there holding strong.

The left side just did the exact same thing, as shown in the first photo. When you use this product, make sure to prepare the surfaces first. I used a stiff wire brush to remove as much rust as possible. Then, I liberally applied brake parts cleaner and let it dry.

When applying the wrap, you need to make it very tight. Last time, I was able to do that and used the supplied aluminum tape to secure it. This time, it felt a little loose so I secured it with some rope before curing. (See second photo.)

I expect this new patch to last just as long as the old one!

This has been a busy week for me, but I still don't feel like I'm getting enough done, it never slows down here.

Marie got this gift in the mail from one of our great-grandkids, Carter.

Yvonne, hey there, we did get down the river, since we talked last. I do have some more photos of it.

Lots of kayakers on the river that day, they were loading them up when we got back, so we had to wait for them to load them. Great day on water though. :)
