Our local grocery store is open from 7-8 am for seniors and for people who are sick, which seems like an idea that only a Democrat governor or the mayor of New York would have thought up. As a senior, if I'm worried about catching the virus, why would I want to shop with sick people? That's too early anyhow. In their defense, despite the fact that I make fun of them, I don't think they had people who are sick with COVID-19 in mind when they set that policy. They probably intended it for those suffering from other diseases that would make them more susceptible to a bad outcome from the Coronavirus. We don't have anyone here who is sick with COVID-19.
It looks like the authorities who are preparing for the hurricane are not concerned with social distancing or with wearing a face mask; so now that they have adjusted the numbers chart, it doesn’t look so desperate there anymore.
Yeah, that's one of the reasons I call BS on all of this. The politicians and the bureaucrats certainly aren't acting like masks are all that important, despite the constant drumbeat of propaganda.
Nearly every case has been 200 miles south of me, and in wildly liberal cities where the count cannot be trusted. At least three of them are people who had wintered in another state, and were still in another state when they tested positive, but were counted here because they were Maine residents, although I am pretty sure they were counted in the other state as well.

If the actual numbers were posted of how many people really died of COVID-19 the left wingers would have a stroke. Just like the flu, being hit with this virus can exacerbate underlying serious conditions which lead to death, but the virus alone is not responsible. It is the immune's system with a low T-Cell count's inability to combat the additional invasion of yet another alien pathogen which is responsible. Why the doctors are not fessing up to this is beyond me. Perhaps those who are will be ignored by the left wing media and the liberal congess.
