@Frank Sanoica , I was thinking of your engineer's take on the video, regarding specifically your knowledge of gyroscopes.
@Joe Riley Ah, soryy for being so unperceptive. Often my lids are heavy, and my sights are dim, as I approach that final hotel stay! Gyroscopes are kind of outside my experience, though my Dad bought me a toy one as a kid. It had a heavy wheel around the axle of which, a string was wound and pulled to bring the wheel up to speed. On the gimbal's base a small ball had a slot which allowed the whole thing, pretty heavy it was, to rest on an edged surface, like the lip of a heavy drinking glass, where it defied gravity, and balanced here. And that is about the extent of it. I must confess, however, to only having skimmed the vid, but will seek to defy my wife's wishes this evening (she dislikes forums!). Frank
Below are some of the video's remarks quoting Dr Herbert Dingle: (TOR=Theory Of Relativity) (Part 1) The experiments supporting the Theory Of Relativity, were quote: "Thought experiments" performed completely through complicated mathematical formulas,designed to dazzle ignorant laymen". Prof. Dingle stated:"Mathematics has been transformed from the servant into its master. And instead of enabling the full implications and potentialities of the facts of experience to be realized and amplified, it has been held necessarily to symbolize truths which are in fact sheer impossibilities that are presented to the Layman as discoveries". Dr. Dingle reveals the key point that is the cornerstone of the TOR. Many highfalutin Scientists do not seem to know this one simple fact. Quote: In the language of Mathematics, we can tell lies as well as truths. And within the scope of mathematics itself, there is noway of telling one from the other. That is the dirty secret behind the TOR. Einstein used mathematics to tell lies". The only way to determine if a mathematical formula has any validity, is to test it in the real world. Dr. Dingle explains that Quote: "We can distinguish them only by experience or by reasoning outside the mathematics applied to the possible relation between the mathematical solution and its supposed physical correlate. Physical experiments are not something that have been done with much success in proving the TOR. Consequently scientists resort to "Thought Experiments", using mathematical formulas which have no correlation to reality. The TOR is not Science. It is Mysticism,supported only by mathematical models". (NOTE:The Scientific Community would not permit Dr. Dingle to publish his thoughts in a paper, so he ended up publishing them himself in his book titled "Science At The Crossroads")

Under the rules of algebra, that is supposed to be a true statement. We know, however, that in reality an empty glass does not equal a full glass, thus in reality E does not equal F. However, mathematics can be used to present a falsehood, as truth: E = F". That is the type of unreal reasoning that permeates the TOR, where the scientific testing is done in thought experiments,using mathematics".
If the earth were flat, when the sun rises, it rises everywhere... hence one time zone. When it sets, it sets everywhere, as well.
Precisely. Although I have no particular interest as to whether the earth is flat or round (ish) I do see some merit on both sides of the debate. A flat earth does defy the basic parameters of physics which lends the entire theory to a planned and infinite reality. Planned because it would be unique and infinite because it cannot be sustained on it's own, or at least, according to the very minimal amount of research I have put into it. To say that it is a natural and a one of a kind phenomenon in all of the known universe would be illogical and without any regard to science but if proven, then it would reasonably point to a creator; A creator, that I already believe exists without caring what shape the world really is.
I don't know if I ever really played the games. I just spun the jacks around on a table, trying to get them all spinning at the same time.
