$4,300 is a good rate for two people Bess. There are four couples in their 80's down the hall from me.
I used to have swordfish regularly in Spain when I lived there, it's very available and cheap... but then I learned about the Mercury content, and stopped eating it, but it continues to be very popular there, although the prices have risen in the last couple of years It's not readily available in fishmongers in the UK ...
Of the fish family, my favorite. However there are a variety of catfish, i.e. yellow catfish, blue catfish. See this chart.
@Holly Saunders I had swordfish once years ago in a restaurant, before the talk of mercury began. It was very delicious, solid, and if I recall correctly, had no bones, like shark. Our buffets here regularly offer catfish, but for some reason, always deep-fried. Tastes great, but I'd love to have some grilled. Frank
I love breaded/baked catfish! Other than shrimp, we aren't big fish eaters. I like crab classic brand of imitation crab. My wife really likes a lobster, when we go to a steak restaurant. I will order the lobster/prime rib combo and she will have the lobster from it.
You\re right that's a good description although I think for it to have much flavour it has to be seasoned well.
