Actually, I don't give it any thought, Tony. I guess I'm not curious about it, though I do believe we are not alone in the universe.
I never thought of it till now either. The idea just popped in my head I thought it was interesting enough to add it to this thread. Maybe aliens travel here with there pet dogs or whatever they have as a substitute. There could be a Gene Roddenberry out there who could have a theory.
Have you ever encountered aliens, in any sightings or anything; "Tony"? Personally, I'm not sure of their diet; for nutrition, but have seen a space ship really close up, as I had said on the forum before, when I was, maybe nine years old, with my younger brother who was seven. It was beautiful; lights were rotating and they looked like jewels instead of lights. Colors like yellow, red, and blue etc, but all the lights I've seen on earth, look nothing like these lights. It was so quiet, and barely moving; yet you could feel the power from it. It should have fallen, barely moving like that; "strange". Had my twelve gauge, Iver Johnson in my hands, and thought of shooting it; but didn't. Could hit it with a rock underhanded. We watched until it was out of sight, then went in house; and we never spoke of it to each other for twenty years. Then I asked him if he remembered the time we saw it; he said yes. I asked him to explain or "describe" it to me. He explained it exactly as I saw it that day.
I've never saw one in person however, many years ago I had a small pocket-size Digital camera that had the feature Where you could set it to go on in a specific time and it would tape until the battery ran out. I would set it to go off in the early morning hours and I aimed it at the sky. Most times all I captured was commercial aircraft. One time I did capture a dot of light going across the sky at a steady pace. It was not A commercial aircraft it was too high up. It probably was a satellite it was something i've never seen before. I have the footage on my old computer. I'd would like to see one in person, I have a cousin who saw one it was really low, she saw a lot of details.
Tony--kind of off topic, but does your family make a dish called "Pork Chops and Vinegar Peppers?" I was looking through my braising cookbook and noticed this recipe, which said it was a very popular dish in Italian cuisine. (A version of it is in my old "Sopranos" cookbook...lol.) I've got chops thawed so I'm going to give it a whirl today.
