They're desperate, and I think we best be "desperate" to "save" our country as they are to destroy it. Sometimes I feel there just aren't enough people that realize the issues we are dealing with. I never forget how bad the world stood by and let Hitler and is gang commit so many atrocities until some of us stepped in :( They think America is still impenetrable, but 911 should have taught us then.

Is this total bs or what?? President Trump has NOT been convicted of committing insurrection, am I correct! How can this dweeb on CNN claim he has, and are there people that think he's been convicted, or just think they are judge and jury?

Just shows CNN at beginning of this LIVE video:

I think someone here mentioned Michelle Obama taking Biden's place in the 2024 election.

    This is new today:

Michelle Obama’s office squashes talk of a White House bid: ‘She will not be running for president’

Michelle Obama is making it crystal clear — she’s not eyeing a return to the White House with a surprise presidential bid, according to her office.

“As former first Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” Crystal Carson, the director of communications for Obama’s office, said in a statement provided to ITK on Tuesday.

Obama “supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign,” Carson said.

The statement rejecting any chance of Obama attempting a return to the White House as president, first reported by NBC News, comes after Republicans, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.), Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, publicly floated the evidence-free idea that the former first lady could replace Biden on the ballot in November.

I suppose she could still change her mind but I will say again that this woman is centered on herself, not America. Besides, she has made it very clear in the past that she hates this country.

Thank you Vada, I believe this to be true. She may hate America, but I think there's so much of America she knows feel the same about her. She won't run is my guess, and you said it best Vada, she's centered on herself and their place with the elitist's and high they can fly, but it won't ever be in the WH, I doubt very much ;)

Every time I hear Vivek speak, I am pulled towards wanting him in our government. I think he would be a great Vice President, and I think he could take the lead if necessary. I'm just sort of contemplating here, how he would do. Most of all, trusting what he says is what he truly believes in, and stands for. This was pretty good where he's asked about the Supreme Court Decision, and he clearly understands the ramifications if Scotus would not have gone unanimously in the right direction. He is also a businessman, which I think benefits Trump greatly, and of course our country. I also think Vivek is tough, and wise. Looks to me he knows when to "holdem, knows when to foldem" unliky sticky-nicky:

It appears that SCOTUS wants to get into the election issues prior to the vote. I think they were at wit's end in 2020 when they were being asked to overturn a national election. They refused to do that, but this time they are addressing issues as they come up.

As far as I know, Trump has not been convicted of anything criminal even though the MSM is trying to lead people to believe that he has He has also won almost all, if not all, of the cases brought against him if they were heard. The ones that have gone against him were the ones that were not heard by a court or that courts refused to hear. The absurd New York case is the only one still hanging, and most experts believe it will be overturned by the New York Court of Appeals--the state's highest court. The penalty certainly will be if not the entire case, but every impartial legal expert I have heard have maintained that you cannot have fraud if no party was harmed and if all parties are willing and eager to do business with him again. In that case, the so-called "defrauded parties" testified on Trump's behalf! What he did was normal business practice; if the verdict stands, it will be the death of real estate development in New York.

I don't understand your last sentence Don, what verdict?

I also don't get the "penalty certainly will be if the entire case?

Sounds all good news except I don't understand how those statements fit in ;) Denise

I voted in the Republican Primary today, the first time Mainers could vote in a primary without being registered with a political party. I was unhappily surprised to find that ranked-choice voting was in place because when they voted to adopt that terrible method of voting, it wasn't supposed to be applied to presidential races. This is a primary and not a general election, but I hope the general election won't be ranked-choice voting.

Among other major problems with ranked-choice voting, whereas the count had formerly taken place at the local voting precincts, and reported there, now everything goes to Augusta where the Democrats in charge can manipulate the count until they arrive at the results they want.

The other thing that RCV does is that it invalidates the vote of people who have only one choice. If someone were to vote Trump in every place on a RCV ballot, that person's vote would be invalidated. While you don't have to vote for someone in every place on the RCV ballot, you cannot vote for the same person in more than one of the places. I went to the third place: Trump, Vivek, and some guy I had never heard of before, who might be surprised to find that he got more than one vote.

You are not aware of the judge's ruling against Trump in a fraud case there? It was totally motivated by politics.
You can look it up, but here is the CNN link:

I so hope Trump, from here on out, focuses his speeches on our issues, and not biden's failings, or no talking about "bird brain" nicki etc. I think this could do a lot to encourage the never Trumpers to change their minds. Even Melania encourages him to behave. He's going to gloat I know, and I still believe even with all his inappropriate lack of humility, he is our best shot. He will get my vote, as long as I'm still allowed to vote for him.

I've always thought he was a very smart man, but I wonder sometimes if he will continue to be an ass at some times. Not that Trump would ever change some people's minds, or gain any votes, I'd just like him to show the teeniest bit of humility. I guess I heard him do that when I heard him say, some good decisions, and some maybe bad ones as a President. So I know he has it in him to clean up a bit.

And to be clear on how I feel personally, I agree with everything he's called people, I just know it's better not to call names, and if I don't stop doing it, I guess I can't very well expect him to. I just see him doing so well for what he has had to face, and it's so easy for some of us to say "don't take it personally", Trump is just a human being.

He is a bit of a child I think, and that is his biggest fault.

Well he's no child, but he can act like one, everybody knows that, but it doesn't seem to affect his supporters, that stick with him because he's a pro at righting wrongs in this country. I just want those non-committal voters, and the never trumpers to change their minds, but wanting something and getting it are always 2 different things.

I'll also add, I'm not one of those that would kick my country to the curb because my President that has a potty-mouth, but a record of doing what he says, and that he's bullish on wrong-doings, breaking our laws and constitution.
