Longer but in the same vein.

Great to see that the issues are being so widely recognized.

The disturbing part of the video above is an agreement that the woke cultural revolution will not give in so easily. It is deeply rooted in the media, education industry, and in government from the local level on up to international levels such as the UN, WEF, NGOs, billionaire backers, and other countries. Not to mention he hard case individuals and certain States at home.

It wasn't over this easily. We need to keep our eyes open and stay on this.

For the most part, businesses were and are involved in it for fear of being canceled otherwise, living under the mostly true perception that the other side doesn't boycott, as well as the false perception that the other side represented a much larger segment of society than it ever has. Others went along with it because they're stupid or naive, and believe everything they see or hear on the mainstream media or in school.

There was a post on Next Door about Walmart getting rid of its DEI programs. I wish I had saved one of the responses, because the staff deletes anything political real fast. There was everything from vax denial to white male patriarchy to I forget all what in this person's shopping-cart-lady rant that killing DIE is the work of the devil. I almost replied, but there was no sense to the nonsense. It would be akin to returning to pre-Copernicus times and telling them that the Earth revolves around the sun. There is no reason, there just "is."

The people using these fringe groups will not let go of the power easily, and they have a 2nd tier cult following that shall not be dissuaded. You may as well try to convince them that a drywall mask can't really stop a virus.

As an aside...I read an article about a Canadian town that has been fined $10,000 because they refused to celebrate Gay Pride Month or fly the flag, plus the mayor and another politician have to take Diversity Training. Link

Chronister is coming under fire for having arrested a pastor for conducting services during COVID, and for having released prisoners to prevent the spread of COVID.
    Daily Caller article

There are other dings against him, as outlined in this Tweet by Spence Rogers, who apparently is well-known in education circles and is a Florida native:

He seems to be running about 50:50 on his choices, which doesn't look good.

It's certainly a major improvement. And those of us right-of-center have demanding standards. It seems that Trump still does not "get" how we feel about COVID and the vax and masking and lock downs...and I don't understand why the word hasn't reached him.

Sheriff Chad Chronister Withdraws From Consideration as Trump’s Nominee for DEA Chief.

His withdrawal was due to push-back because of his enforcing COVID edicts. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) wrote“I’m going to call ‘em like I see ‘em. Trump’s nominee for head of DEA should be disqualified for ordering the arrest of a pastor who defied COVID lockdowns. Next time politicians lose their ever-lovin minds, he can redeem himself by following the Constitution.” Of course, the good Congressman didn't comment on the degree of accountability politicians have for their own lack of sanity.

It's not official yet but speculation is that Hegseth will withdraw his name because they think he can't make it through Senate confirmation. Republicans in the Senate were willing to let Biden choose whoever the hell he wanted, however nutty, yet they won't let Trump choose his team. After the initial rush of an election win, this isn't looking very good, and it's largely Trump's fault for not weighing in on who he wanted to lead the Senate. Thune isn't going to do one thing to advance the Trump agenda.

Hegseth does seem to have some issues, and not helped by that leaked email from his own mother. I just heard that Trump may be considering Ron DeSantis if Hegseth drops out. The plot thickens.

I understand that Desantis' may be hitting term limits. Lots of folks want him held back for a SCOTUS spot. (The same is being said of Ted Cruz.)

Hegseth is said to be a fighter. I haven't heard anything definite, but I suspect he will fight on unless Trump asks him to step away. Those of you who have been in combat know you are not the same person as you were before. Hegseth was just going through a bitter divorce I think after coming back the Iraq or Afghanistan. His own mother threw him under a bus not knowing what he was experiencing. That was 20 years ago, and people change in 20 years.

Anyone who they are really afraid of is going to have "issues," whether or not there's any truth to any of them. Does anyone truly believe that Biden's choices were without issues? Yet, enough Republicans (and every Democrat) voted to bring them in. Issues only matter when they can be attached to a Republican. Neither Republicans or Democrats care if a Democrat has issues.

Yes, and as we all know, the democrats can rely on their operatives, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.
