    Donald T. says Iran should not have Nuclear Weapons.

    I'll go one further:

    North Korea should not have Nuclear Weapons, and neither should China, India, Pakistan, England, France, Israel, Russia, and America.

    All I know is if some of those countries had them and we didn't, America would already be a glass parking lot. :cool:

    I think they should get rid of all of them except two; one for Russia and one for the US. That's all it would take to destroy the planet. The one in Russia should be pointed at the US and the button to deploy it should be in Washington, DC. The one in the US should be pointed at Russia and the button to deploy it should be in Moscow.

    Well, we and several other countries have them and there really isn’t much that anyone is going to do to de-nuke the planet.
    Here’s the problem with Iran or any other bad player from having them: They’ve already voiced their intentions. If they (Iran officials) had the capability, they have already said that they’d do the Khrushchev and bury us and wipe Israel off the map and all in the name of their religion.

    Ya see, the big whigs in Iran do not care whether they live or die as long as they are doing it all in the name getting rid of the infidels. If they start something and we totally annihilate the country, to them it’s still a win. They will have earned their place with Allah and all is well.
    But to attack the U.S. and Israel with nuclear weapons would really be a big feather in their turbines because of the vast devastation hence keeping them away from those types of toys. Small harassing hit and misses are one thing, but nuclear power for them is a definite no-no.

    During that talk between Nixon and Khruschev, the Soviet leader meant he would bury us economically, not in a holocaust.

    @Bobby Cole Yep. Once someone is willing to blow themselves up in the middle of a mall to make a religious point, I don't think they should have access to anything they can't store and launch in a backpack.

    Well, that didn't work out so well for them, did it?

    Uh, talk between Nixon and Khrushchev, talk? How about at the Polish embassy in 1956.
    Be that as it may, Khrushchev made it very clear what his intentions were whether it meant economic or by nuclear war. Case in fact: the arming of Cuba by the U.S.S.R. During the Kennedy administration.

    Funny on that is during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy agreed to sell wheat to the Soviets on the sly because the country was starving to death. Most people think the Crisis was to push the US to remove nuclear missiles from Turkey, but it may have had more to do with food.

    @Rene Descartes
    An interesting side note to the Missile Crisis is that JFK (Dem), in choosing his best counsel, brought in his nemesis, Barry Goldwater (Rep), and asked for his advice. He took it, and it worked.
