Rubio's stand on abortion: "On abortion, Rubio co-sponsored a 2013 Senate bill to ban abortion after 20 weeks since fertilization, making exceptions for the life of the mother, rape or incest." http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/marco-rubio-believe-candidate-stands-10-issues/ I assumed from this that before 20weeks he is pro-choice. I guess I shouldn't presume that. It's possible that he was pro-life before the 20 weeks but was just voting to ban abortion after 20 weeks because there was no choice on the bill regarding before 20 weeks.
Glenn Beck is stumping for Ted Cruz at one of the Nevada caucus sites when Donald Trump walks into the room. Nevada Caucus Results (Politico) D. Trump -- 45.9% M. Rubio -- 23.9% T. Cruz -- 21.4% B. Carson -- 4.8% J. Katich -- 3.6% R. Paul -- 0.2% J. Bush -- 0.1% C. Christie -- 0.1%
Not just "possible" but that's what happened, yes. He's always been pro-life and always opposed Roe v. Wade. Not to mention Megyn Kelly's trying to smear him in an interview. Lot of that going on, it seems. I need to hear it from the horse's mouth because anything else has a good chance of being lies. Sad state of affairs, eh? And there *are* videos of exactly what he said that would put nasty rumors about him being pro-choice to rest.
I found the info I posted on the PBS website (Public Broadcasting Station). It's a reputable source. I know what you mean though about many sources. It's hard to know unless, like you said, you hear it right from their own voices. Also, in context helps.
Yes, I think Trump will do his best to see that we keep our Constitutional rights...but it isn't just a decision that he can make and it will happen. Our Government and Judicial System need to start working together on making America better, etc. I'd like to believe that can happen...but over the years I've pretty much taken off the rose colored glasses and become more of a "this is reality" woman.
If Trump brings back honesty to the government and opens a lot of these secret information. Also bring in fair trade instead of free trade America government could be trusted by its people and the world. Make America great again
Oh, @Martin Alonzo ... wise words those are. I'd love to see it happen in my lifetime, but I've become so skeptical. I have a feeling that even if the absolute perfect person to do that would be elected, the opposite party would make sure to destroy a good thing and not let it happen... not let that trust build no matter how many lies it would take. Call Mari disenchanted.
Evangelicals are flocking to Trump. Texas has a lot of evangelicals and polls show Trump has 43% of their support and Ted Cruz only has 25% despite the fact that it's his home state. Jerry Falwell and now also his father are "endorsing" Trump. I put that in quotes because, technically Liberty University doesn't endorse political candidates….but they are . Anyway, the media is baffled by Trump's evangelical appeal of course. Here's the explanation:
Now hold on a sec, there, @Lara Moss ! Falwell, Jr. I can see. Um... but his daddy died in 2007. If he's endorsing Trump or anyone else, we just entered the Twilight Zone.
It was Pat Robertson of Regent University and the 700 Club. Sorry. He shook hands with Trump yesterday (wednesday). Both Robertson and the Falwells are equally well known, respected, and devout Christians.
After watching a part of last night's Republican debate I can actually say: "Thank God I didn't watch the other ones!" I wasn't even able to finish watching it, the childish antics of Rubio, Trump, and Cruz gave me a headache and made me think we'd be crazy for electing any of these men as our next President! These debates clearly aren't working to let the public know what each Candidate stands for...there needs to be change here for sure.
I watched the whole debate…and all the others. This is the first time Rubio attacked anyone and the the first time he stood up for himself when being attacked, He found it wasn't working for him to be non-confrontational and also needed to fight for his survival since Super Tuesday is coming and it's now or never. I liked the old Rubio myself but understood that it wouldn't work for this particular debate and for his goal to overtake Trump, not to mention Cruz. This was a crucial pivotal debate for the entire campaign. Ted Cruz was annoyingly untruthful (about Trump) but otherwise didn't act out childishly in my opinion. Trump talked a little more about policy when pressed by his flanking adversaries (Trumps always placed in the middle). I learned more about each candidate and that's the goal of these debates. Ben Carson and Kasich did their best yet…but not good enough. Too little too late. I found it upsetting to watch because non-stop fighting and everyone talking at the same time is more than I can handle…but I hung in there. It's the last Republican debate so no worries, Babs .
I, too, watched it. I concluded, left to his own devices, Trump is likely to be the next president. If Rubio and Cruz do not win their own states on March 1 it is over for them and Trump can coast into July. Of course should he lake a few delegates, he might get knocked out by a convention fight. http://firstsooner.blogspot.com
We watched most of the debate; but then it just seemed like it was either the moderators asking incendiary questions, or the candidates just not stopping the arguments, and not really producing much useful information. Several things were pretty obvious though. Rubio pushing Trump's hand away when Trump tried to shake hands with him when they first all came onstage. Cruz shook his hand, and then began the all-out double sided attack by Cruz and Rubio against Trump. Cruz was pulling out lies, and making things up (Trump being audited because of cheating on his taxes). Rubio seemed really angry, and was almost screaming his answers, and talking at speeds that would have rivaled even Zig Ziglar. They all actually made John Kasich look good, and I have not been impressed with him from the start. Carson was his usual half-asleep self, and waiting to be asked before he spoke a single word. Truly, I like what that man says; I just can't see him standing up for our country if he became president. Another thing that I noticed was that Ted Cruz does the illuminati/Masonic thing of hand-inside-coat when everyone was standing for the national anthem. I guess that might have been accidental; but I tend to think it was deliberate.
