If the candidate who comes into the convention with the most delegates doesn't come out of the convention as the candidate, Hillary wins. If the Democrats decide to go with Bernie, then Bernie wins.
The problem that I saw was that Hillary and Bill Clinton hung around and campaigned in the polling area. Federal and State laws prohibit ANY kind of campaigning within so many feet of the polling area so apparently Hillary and Bill are above the law...........again.
What I'm wondering is this? If neither Trump nor Sanders get the number of delegates they need to clinch the Nominations, and they don't win at the Convention either...can they still run as Independents on the ballot in the November election where "We the People" could then vote them into Office?
I wish I hadn't read this, but since I did, and feel so upset, I'm going to post it. That way I might get some comforting feedback. On the otherhand, I might just get told to buckle up, it's not going to be pretty. I know this in my heart, it's just scarey knowing it's actually happening Thanks to @Babs Hunt (I mean I really do thank her because I need to know these things, whether I want to see them or not) as I didn't "know" Obama could do this, and I didn't know what martial law actually meant, other than it was declared when there are disasters, rebellions. But the scope of what it could do here in America is so frightening http://www.commdiginews.com/politics-2/ben-carson-might-obama-cancel-the-2016-election-28523/ I know this info was out in 2014, but I never started paying much attention to politics, and even anything outside my own, little world. Not until I started coming to these forums. I don't know if this is an article anyone else would pay attention to, but it is very, well written I thought. Due to my christian beliefs, much of it just hit me hard. Lastnight, before I ever read @Babs Hunt post, or went to find an article to read on obama being able to stay in the Whitehouse, I had a dream about the return of Christ. I can't remember it all, but it came back to me after reading all this stuff this a.m.
That's why Trump is at the forefront of my mind, and I am going to vote for him if I get the chance (if all hell doesn't brake loose on America before we all get the chance to vote). He is his own man, and no puppet. He won't play the game, and the "elite hitlers" are out to get him, and not in a good way
Here's the way I read the cards. Obama couldn't do that. Trump and Sanders cannot run as Independents after their elections. I don't like Clinton but she's going to win the nomination. I do no believe the GOP has enough horses to win in November. Trump might beat her; Cruz couldn't, but Trump may not get nominated.
"SAN ANTONIO, November 19, 2015 — Dr. Ben Carson, a black neurosurgeon and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, has repeatedly stated that he believes there is a chance that the 2016 elections may not be held at all. Widespread anarchy gripping the country could be reason enough for the Obama administration to announce the implementation of martial law and the suspension of some, if not all, of Americans’ constitutionally protected rights — including the right to vote and hold national elections. On the surface this seems unbelievable, but upon further analysis, Carson’s ominous suggestion is plausible; this is an extremely unnerving scenario that all Americans should be aware of and ready for. The Obama administration has very quietly and subtly done many inexplicable things that could very well be precursors to the suspension of some, if not all, of Americans’ constitutionally protected civil rights." Yet for God's children we have this assurance to hold on to. God is in control and nothing will happen that He does not allow to happen...and He has promised to never leave or forsake His children no matter what happens and to be our place of refuge through the trials and tribulations. So let your heart not be troubled yet open it always to His wisdom and discernment.
Only if she asked "Madam Secretary" to be her VP...if you are familiar with the TV series. Now there is a woman who seems to know what is really going on in Politics! On the serious side, if there was a woman like that off of the TV I don't think she would accept Hillary's offer to be her VP because she would "know" what Hillary stands for. And another "clone" of Hillary for VP would be the end of us all for sure!
Thanks @Babs Hunt, I am glad to be reminded of that, and also, I know I doubt God's existence often, but I also know that when I turn to my faith He is with us, I am comforted beyond anything I can explain.
Joe, I think it would depend on WHO ran against her. Lots of democrats like Elizabeth Warren, but any other woman is anybodies guess. Babs, Denise: The article says "...upon further analysis ..." what kind of analysis? How about some facts. Ben Carson knows no more about what Obama is likely to do than you or I. This is all speculation and not very good speculation at that. There's been speculation about Obama since he was elected. Why? He's a black democrat that got elected and shouldn't have in many people's mind. He's half Kenyon, half Black and half white. Wasn't born in this country. A large minority didn't like him. He's not that smart and if he was the military would not go along with him. So Ben Carson could use a little more education in something other than brain surgery, in my opinion. But of course, you could be right and I could be wrong. I'm merely speculating.
I respect anyone's opinions on these things Bill, but like Ben Carson, I have my spiritual beliefs as well. So I look at the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual sides of things. Much, if not all, of what Ben talks about is reality. The things that have occurred since Obama got in office. Yes, some things were already going wrong, I understand that. I'm talking about since Obama has been in office. What do you disagree, specifically, with what Ben had to say? I am open to hearing, learning. To me, it all seems valid.
@Bill Boggs I think Ben Carson is only giving his opinion in this article...just like we give ours here on this Forum and there is nothing wrong with this. There has been some "shady" goings on with Obama...just as with some of our other Presidents and we all should be concerned about some of these "shady" things. In my opinion Obama has done more out in the open to try to take away our Constitutional Rights and since he is doing this out in the open "We the People" have been given the knowledge to stand up against these wrong doings. Ben Carson is a good man...but in my opinion he does not have the "boldness" and "strength of courage" to fight the batttle to the finish. We need someone who can do this in order to take back the rights that have been stolen from us. I also believe that no matter how much we think we know...we still will be surprised at how much there still is to learn.
