Lindsey Graham: Donald Trump presidency will "lead to another 9/11

Republican front-runner Donald Trump's foreign policy will lead to another terrorist attack on the scale of the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday.

Asked on CBS' "Face the Nation" about former House Speaker John Boehner'scomments in support of Trump, Graham said they're evidence of a Republican "civil war," adding that it's important to defeat Trump because his foreign policy worldview is dangerous.

"There's a civil war going on in the Republican Party, obviously. John and I are very close friends, but he's embracing Donald Trump, and I am not. Why? Because I believe Donald Trump's foreign policy is isolationism. It will lead to another 9/11."

Graham, a former presidential hopeful himself who endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in March, said Tuesday's primary in Indiana is a "big test" for the anti-Trump movement, but that Cruz should stay in the race through the end of the primaries regardless.

I watched both Cruz and Sen. Graham speak on Face the Nation this morning and it clear to me that Trump has the Republican Party running scared! They are really afraid Trump will destroy the Republican Party totally...and stop the one world global system from taking over too. Cruz seems to be looking mighty good to the Republicans right now even though most of them can't stand him either. I'm sure he's looking good to them because they feel they can control him and Cruz is no threat to tearing down what the "Elite Republican Party" has built for themselves. It is becoming clearer to me everyday that this Party needs to be torn down because it does not represent 'We the People" and has not for who knows how long. Graham was right when he said there is a "civil war" going on in the Republic Party and I'm not sure what the outcome is going to be but I know this "civil war" in way overdue.

All that the Republican Party is saying and doing....only makes me want to vote for Trump even more....and I believe there are many people feeling this same way.

Graham was a presidential candidate until a few days before Christmas when he dropped to less than 2 per cent in national polls.

I also have struggled over deciding who is the best man or woman, for the job. Since I don't want socialism or a dictator , I guess I am leaning toward the republican corner. I really was interested in Ted Cruz, until this latest game playing which is dragging this contest out. And now it is like trying to pick the lesser of the two evils, like all elections in the past. So I guess we hold our noses and (jump) vote, hoping against hope we get the good one that will do right by all Americans and not feed just one group of people or big corporate businesses, that are concerned only their bottom line.

I agree, Sandy. This is a tough year on voters, on me. If I vote it won't be so much for someone as against other possibilities.

I think we need a leader that isn't afraid to fight, and we need Americans that aren't afraid to fight too. It's been too long when many of us have sat on our cushy cushions and done nothing but yack about what others are doing wrong. How about focusing on what we can do right. Donald Trump is the only man in my time on this Earth that is actually "of the people". Because he is bold, and unafraid, I can be the same, Thank You Lord for sending him, Trump may not know it, but I do believe he is an answer to my prayers anyway. Denise

hey there. we need to bargain from a point of strength and power like before instead of backing down from our enemies. he's concerned about out national security, as am I which is priority one. no security we lose everything. including our lives. the blanket of security we have lived under for so long is gone. our military is almost back to sticks and stones. he can find the right people to help him out. the economy. what a mess. trillions in the hole. im not sure he'll have the time to clean this mess up. it's Obama's fault :(

It's a lot of people's fault, including my own, imo Gary:) Trump may not have time to straighten out every thing, but he WILL make a good start. I believe so much of a good start, that he'll prove himself to people (I pray the majority) that they will not settle for less in our next president. But one day at a time with Trump for me;)

I so agree with your post Gary, I am excited to meet, and get to know others that see our best chance to bring back a strong, and respected country no one will want to mess with. That's what I believe American "has been" "don't mess with us", and we need to ALL fight for that again:)

I enjoyed the videos, etc. that others shared about Trump when he was younger and he voiced his concern about what was happening in America and how we needed leaders that would help bring America "back up" instead of further down and that also had America and the people of America as a priority. Trump said in those videos that he really didn't want to run for that position that he would rather have someone else do this...but he also said that he would consider doing so if necessary. So evidently he has seen the necessity for a few years now and believes he can be a help instead of more of the same old, same old. If anything, he has opened the eyes of an awful lot of people and stirred up those whose eyes were open but needed a leader to help them stand up and say "no more!" This is a critical election year to me...and I'm sure to many others. But even if Trump does become our President we all need to realize that even if he is doing this for us and America...he still is just a human being who will need our prayers (as he does now) and God's help to bring about real change. Although he may look like a shark now....he is still a little fish trying to be a shark....and there are many sharks trying to bring him down. Those sharks don't care how they do this and they have proved that they are not above even murder to keep what they think belongs to them alone. So don't just vote for Trump...pray for him and his family. He needs this now and even more if he does become our President.

I will be praying, love what you had to say Babs. Yes, he is just a man, although I believe in the possibility that God has led Donald into this, even if Donald doesn't know that, yet:) I believe that the real battle is a spiritual one that has gone on through all time. Yes, Mr. Trump needs prayers, as well as folks that are willing to stand along side him.

Doesn't this tell all of us something? Of course you can't protect your head with a bullet proof vest as JFK sadly found out...or should I say his widow Jackie Kennedy found out. I don't think Donald Trump is a stupid man....although sometimes stupid things come out of his mouth (but honest stupid things at least). I have to believe that he is aware of what he is up against even if he isn't able to come to full terms with the reality of it all. And I have to think his loved ones know what could happen here too. But no one in his right mind would go this far without being willing to pay the price or at least consider that he may have to pay that price. He already has the money...so the only other self-centered reason he could go for this...is for the power. To take the power away from those who have always held the power...wouldn't that be the ultimate revenge against all those who flaunted that power in his face. I don't easily trust anyone or anything these days. Most of us would be fools if we did. And I wish I could say without a doubt that I know Donald Trump has the right motives for wanting to be President here. But in all honesty I can't say that...but what I can say in all honesty...is that I'm praying for this to be true.

I wish I knew Trump better. I wish I had followed his life like I did some of the other famous people I was interested in. But I didn't and so I'm flying by the seat of my pants with him. Yet, I'm not flying by the seat of my pants with Hillary...I do know alot about her...and Bill Clinton and I don't think either one of them has changed from the lying, cheating, power grabbers they were when they started out and if they get into the White House again...I know we can kiss America and "We the People" goodbye forever!

It will be no better if Cruz gets in...I don't even have to know more about him....he reeks "slimeball" and as a Christian that word does not come easily to my mind or my lips. But it comes anyway, no matter how much I try to stifle it.

We definitely need a miracle here this election year. I'm praying for that miracle and I hope all of you are too.

The "agenda" that I have made frequent references to in this forum is known as UN Agenda 21, which is a conspiracy but not a theory. One of Trump's chief spokespeople, Katrina Pierson, lectured on Agenda 21 prior to being hired by the Trump campaign, and another of his staunch supporters, although not an employee, Roger Stone, is said to be well aware of Agenda 21.
