Trump was at a rally as late as 1:00 am, and I noticed he was live somewhere this morning. I didn't tune in but I saw that he was. I just came from voting, and I've never seen a line so long since moving to Millinocket in 2001. Not only is there the presidential election but we have a gun banning bill on referendum this year too, which tends to bring out people likely to vote for Trump in Maine's 2nd District.
Oh wonderful @Ken Anderson I realize they aren't all for Trump, but I can hope, lol How do you think Maine will go on that gun-banning? I don't know much about how they feel up in your neck of the woods on that one?
I can't imagine why someone who is worried about their 2nd Amendment rights would vote for Hillary, but there are some.
I was wondering about your opinion on your State as a whole, do you think there is a strong support to keep our 2nd amendment? No, I can't imagine anyone who is for our constitution, 2nd amendment voting for hillary either.
It is the only one of six referendum items that is expected to fail statewide, but the vote is expected to be closer than I would have thought. Michael Bloomberg and some of the out-of-state gun banning groups have sunk millions of dollars into advertising in favor of it. Plus, it's not an outright ban, but just a step in that direction, so some people will be fooled into thinking it might be okay. By the way, I am opposed to all of the referendum items.
There are many people that have guns that vote Democrat,...just as there are many anti gun people who vote Republican. It's not cut and dry. Why do I vote Republican?
Thanks @Ken Anderson. Yes, I know about being fooled on these issues I haven't been studying up on. I did go into each of the ones I had to vote on for this State, and made the choices I thought were best of course. Some were easy, some weren't for me.
Yes, because that's not their only issue. Maine has traditionally been Democrat largely because of the labor union vote. This is something that should change in time, given that nearly all of our mills have closed and the labor unions are not so much in evidence anymore. Still, the mindset remains.
@Ken Anderson or anyone using other than cable/dish, all I have is Roku (youtube) looking for a link for what the Trumpsters are doing today ken? I keep Right Side broadcasting on, but hope I'm not missing anything that might show more. Are they gathered somewhere, or maybe just at home? I don't see anything of late, posted in the thread. oops, just found something that might be good, a Victory Party (sorta jumpin the gun) but it's broadcasting on youtube from something calle MNC Live. My News Channel. I'll check it out for now
I don't know. I am going to just stay home and try to forget about it today. I've done my part and I finished it by voting. Now we'll see what the outcome is. If Hillary wins, maybe I'l go back to being a good Mennonite and ignore politics from now on.
I want to stay here, if you or Bobby are going to be here @Ken Anderson This is the Trump thread, it's been the Trump thread forever seems like.
k, I'm here, hope @Ken Anderson shows back up I don't know where the guys are getting their numbers for sure, looks like it's going to be a back and forth battle if you look at this site: Go down a little to see, but this keep changing ok? http://www.politico.com/
