I think I’ll take your remark personally. I shouldn’t really because anyone who would attempt to use a correlation between present day people who do back the likes of Donald Trump to 1930’s Germany and then call me a fool along with that is indeed missing a screw. But, what’s this BS about Donald and Russia? It wasn’t Trump who was buying oil from Russia and helping to finance Russia’s onslaught of Ukraine….it was Biden. It wasn’t Trump who literally gave a major portion of our stockpiled uranium to Russia….it was Hillary Clinton. In my way of thinking, if you can’t be of good report and do a little studying instead of spewing a bunch of nonsense, it might behove you to take a breath before coming into a conversation in order to activate those otherwise dormant brain cells you obviously haven’t been using. Note: See? I can get nasty too but when I get nasty I make sense.
Like the fools in Germany, some may be showing up here with wheelbarrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread and then picking on a disarmed group of people to blame all their troubles on, in the near future. Governments make temporary alliances for their own reasons. It is not love. Trump' kept his friends close and his enemies closer' (think Russia). I believe he knew more than I do of what is going on and he said so. Biden and H Clinton were trying to get the best of Ukraine long before this war. It was not love. Surprising negative propaganda was kept up, hammering long before the primaries. The Liberals were afraid Trump would throw a wrench into the new world order. And he did. Although in a short time, Biden's administration is hauling us back around, double time. Gotta say, 'Steven'. At least you've fostered a good conversation. I still would like to know what YOU actually don't like about Trump.
So far as the OP goes, I doubt seriously if I’ll really entertain the thought of joining Truth. I like facts which is why when I hear or see something of interest to me I study it but just to join a group that will be politically based even if it’s the unvarnished truth isn’t really my cuppa at this time. It’s the same as I feel about Twitter. Yvonne enjoys Twitter and follows some folks which is good for her but I found that when I joined I didn’t and don’t pay attention to it. I belong to a couple of military groups, subscribe to Just Facts and a couple of other groups of interest to me on FB and that’s enough. Heck, I’m a member of Parlor and I don’t think I’ve gone on site more than a half dozen times since I joined.
Yup. "Trumpets" "Trumpkins" "Orange Man Bad" Disagreement is one thing, but this is just name calling with no substance to it. As you said: "Troll."
I don't do social networks and if I did, it would not want to read the blathering of politicians. I personally think tweeting, on whatever platform, is not the stuff of mature communications.
LOL….If the person in question with his vast psychological bias against Trump, a person he knows few facts about, did have latent tendencies to peruse the Truth app he sure as heck won’t now. I’ll betcha he won’t join Twitter now that it’s a free speech format either. Gotta be lonely out there and maybe he even needs a hug and a momma like spit wipe for that fevered brow.
Do you know if he said that pre or post Elon Musk buying it? (Being him, I would think he keeps an eye on it either way)
Pre I think but it makes sense if he didn’t use Twitter. The one main thing that most folks both Rep and Dem have against Trump is the constant battles he was fighting on that platform. Granted, it did show a lot of transparency but using that method to vent was a downfall. No, I would guess that continuing to use his own platform, Truth, whilst perusing Twitter to find content would be his method of operation. I could be wrong but to me that would be good business.
I actually don't and have never done twitter although I am tempted now. One of my MANY complaints about Trump was his apparent incessant use of that media. It was in writing so, unlike some people, he could not say he did not write that. and it was all you would hear about on the other media.
According to several sources, he said it after Musk announced his intention to buy Twitter. https://www.reuters.com/technology/...nt-reinstated-after-musk-takeover-2022-04-25/ "WASHINGTON, April 25 (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he will not return to social media platform Twitter (TWTR.N) even if his account is reinstated following the platform's purchase by billionaire Elon Musk. Trump told Fox News that he will formally join his own Truth Social startup over the next seven days, as planned."
Part of that was his ego, and part of that was trying to defend himself against the constant baseless attacks. He was not a politician, and it showed.
I looked that up, and I believe he said he was still staying away even after Musk bought it. One reason he used that platform was so his words (whatever you may think of them) could see the light of day, unmolested by the corrupt media.
