@Shirley Martin Good luck with that! She keeps the horns well-hidden in those beautiful blonde locks........ Frank
It is only 11 degrees here and zero with the wind chill. The wind is bitter out there this morning, and the dogs hurried through their necessary trip outside. It was 42 in our bedroom when I got up, so I hurried out to the front room to stand by the electric heater and that is where I am going to get dressed. It is at least 60 out here, still cold; but much warmer than in that bedroom. Looks like it is not going to get much better here until about next Sunday, from what the weather app is saying. I looked at the weather app for north Idaho, and it is as cold here in Alabama as it is in north Idaho, 30 miles from Canada. At least we do not have all that snow that they have , and will have for the next 4-5 months.
-4 this morning and now a balmy +4. Will stay much the same until Sunday, when it rapidly warms up in the 30... and rain is forecast. That likely means everything frozen gets a good coating of ice. I don't like snow or cold, but can generally be okay. Ice is a whole different game, imo.
@Harry Havens , I don't like ice, either. It is treacherous. No way would I drive on it. But it is also beautiful in it's own way. When the top layer melts just a little, I will walk on it with my boots that have the treaded soles. I only walk long enough to take a few pictures.
It's -4 outside with the sun shining bright enough to blind you with snow on the ground. Bitter cold, brrrrr.
Local weather is talking about a possibility of some flurries and ice on Wednesday. We had snow coming down here in our apartment complex on Christmas Day 2010. I took video of it. If it gets icy here on the bridges, they will be closed down. Believe it or not, there are people here that love this cold weather we are having and actually hope we get some flurries. As for wife and I, we want the warmer (70's) back. If we lived in Colorado, we'd have to put up with the winter weather. Winter is part of that area, not here. If we lived in northern Colorado, we be laughing our butts off at the current weather in northern Florida.
I would love to see snow and ice in Fresno. After the hotter than hell summers and even spring and fall I need a break. But only if I don't have to drive....driving in rain and fog is bad enough in Fresno...Ice would crippled the city
