Luckily it didn't fly into a window. Those things are like a projectile in the wind. I chased one down the beach one time and looked like a complete idiot. I was so afraid it would blow into the side of someone's car or kill a sunbather.

There’s always something you can be thankful for Ken. You could also own a horse stable and be shoveling something else along with the snow.
We went over to our boat early this afternoon and pulled/pushed at least two feet of snow off of the front and rear of the full cover. Used our boat washing brush with a long handle on it. Ordered a SnowBrum from Walmart yesterday. It is used to either push or pull the snow off of a vehicle and/or boat. Sure glad our 2005 Dodge Durango has both AWD and 4WD Lock. Had to put into 4WD Lock at Boat/RV Storage. They didn't do a very good job of ploughing snow there. In 4WD Lock, absolutely no problem driving thru the snow.
We are having our first (and maybe only ) snowstorm here in Alabama today. We were glad that it didn’t start actually snowing until later this afternoon, because be were able to get to the fitness center, swim, and get back home before it turned from rain to snow here, although it was “splatty” rain when it was hitting the windshield. Supposed to keep snowing until around midnight and stick around until tomorrow morning (noonish) , so we won’t be going anywhere tomorrow, and probably most places will be closed if the streets are still icy. If this keeps up, we might get 2-3 inches, just think about that !
It was in the low 50s here today. Considering that had only three days with temperatures above 80 this summer, that's pretty warm.
It's 61º here now. It was supposed to get to near 70º but I don't know if it did. Forecast for tomorrow is mid 40s. Big change.
This morning, it was 22 degrees. Yvonne, how does your 2-3 inches compare with our last 24 inches plus? Just wondering. I know, Alabama definitely isn't Colorado.
