Hospitalized with kidney failure away from home a week now. They cut open my right jugular vein, inserteted a plastic "tee" to which they route all the blood from r.t .d. of brain to dialysis machine. 4 treatments begun saturday, 3 hrs per day, removed 31 POUNDS of built-up liquid from my legs, belly, and arms. Incision would not stop bleeding, day after day, today they stopped it. A kidney biopsy done Monday, worst experience of my life, shows Minimal Change Disease, rare in adults (am still childish), common in children. Occasionally need for dialysis disappears after months. I only hope! Best wishes for a speedy recovery Frank
Ouch! That doesn't sound good. It's amazing what they can do these days when they want to. I hope he recovers soon.
WOW ! That does not sound good at all, and it sounds like they got Frank into the hospital just in the nick of time, @Patsy Faye . Thank you for updating us, and Bobby and I will be saying extra prayers for Frank’s recovery and return home from the hospital. I saw that he was online yesterday (but didn’t see a post), so I thought he must just be busy with the holiday season.
Sounds like a frightening experience. Hope you get well soon, and make a complete recovery, @Frank Sanoica.
So sorry to hear this news. I pray God's healing hand will touch your body and bring you healing @Frank Sanoica.
Oh my goodness; thanks for the update, Patsy. @Frank Sanoica -- my best wishes for a rapid recovery. Take care and I hope you are much better soon.
It looks like Frank was online again today, so he must be able to at least look at the forum, and just not able to respond to anything yet. Hoping that he is at least able to read that we all care so much about him, and praying and hoping for him to get better.
I've been keeping in touch with Frank and knew he was going through a really rough time. I know for sure everyone's well wishes will mean the world to him.....and hopefully speed his recovery.
@Patsy Faye: Happy New Year! ...and thank you for the update! @Frank Sanoica: Happy New Year! ...let the healing begin.
I think a good Jewish mother and a bowl of chicken soup would have been better therapy but then again, maybe your doctor is Jewish and knows that his mother’s chicken soup didn’t work which is why he became a doctor. Dunno........ Prayers for ya Frank and we’ll be waiting for the complete unabridged story when you get back feeling healthy again.
