Thanks for the nice birthday wishes! Had a very nice day/time with my wife. Went on a 2-day trip to Orlando and to a waterpark (Aquatica, that is owned by SeaWorld) there. Like where we live, they've been getting some daytime and evening rains. Couldn't even use the pool at the motel, because the water was simply too cool. Fortunately, the water at the park was decently warm. We'd been to this waterpark before, but it's been a few years ago. Like before, we only went on two ride attractions. One was sitting in a tube and the other was wearing a ski vest. Both where the water current would sweep a person along. One thing for sure, a person can't be afraid to be in "sweeping" water! Also, got into the Wave Pool. Most likely, this will be the last time we go to a waterpark. And, since I like Minions a lot, wife got me a talking Minion stuffed toy for my birthday.
Yes I did. Thing is, we thought we were the oldest ones there, but we weren't. One lady, looking very comfortable sprawled out using two tubes, floated by us. We figure she was around 78. We thought, "Wow, this lady is this old and having a blast on a water park ride."
You only get one shot on this earth...you gotta go for the gusto! Sounds like that lady was going for it for sure!
Thanks for your happy birthday wishes we arrived at our hotel for the first night which is a fascinating place, each room is devoted to a famous Russian composer, writer etc. We are in the Chekhov room, with lots of memorabilia and classical music playing in the bathroom I will try and post a photo of the room with me in it. We had dinner in the restaurant here which though a tad expensive by our standards, was worth it for the food quality and it is my birthday after all. We move to a more affordable place for the other two nights here We explored the 15th century monastery across the road from our hotel this afternoon, but the weather is not good being cool and drizzly... it's supposed to be warmer tomorrow but still no sun
