Golden Corral sent me their coupon for my free birthday dinner, so Bobby and I will be going there for our lunch after we get done with our morning exercise at the fitness center. Bobby gave me a really awesome present, a Suzuki Q-Chord ! Years ago, I had an Omnichord, and I really enjoyed it, and they are an easy instrument to play. This afternoon, I am going to sit down with the Q-Chord and the instruction book, and read how to play one and start to use it. This one does a lot of different things that my Omnichord didn’t do, so I need to study the book and learn how it works.
@Yvonne Smith ..sorry I missed your BD..sounds like a good one. Could you post a picture of what Bobby got you.. I have no clue as to what that is.
It is an electronic version of an autoharp, where you basically push cords and then strum. However, this does SO much more ! It has about a zillion preset voices, and different rhythms that you can add to the music, as well as things like vibrato, and volume controls. The buttons that you use for the chords can also be played like a keyboard (this is different from the basic Omnichord), plus this one has a variety of different music cartridges that you can insert into the Q-Chord, and it willl actually play the songs for you and let you choose the voice and instruments, and then you just strum along.
