What Are We Eating For 2016?

    Tonight (Saturday) looks like a casserole night..
    What type of casserole to make, I haven't decided yet..

    Tuna
    Italian chicken
    Baked chicken
    Or any of the many others I have ..........

    I will decide when I actually go to make it.... Hopefully the meat (whatever it will be) will be able to thaw pretty fast.....
    Unless I make a vegetarian casserole with cheese..

    What am I eating in 2016.........? Probably not very much from 2015 or earlier. Now, if I got hold of a case of Viet Nam era C-Rations I might just open a can or two but would likely keep the most of it for tornado weather.

    Other than that I believe that my wife and I are both on the same page and will more than likely stay on a more healthy road than in the past years.
    Fewer carbs, more BCAA's, vitamin C,D, and B complex rich foods and a good protein shake prior to and after workouts.
    Personally, I do in about 4-6 meals a day.

    All that said, I am definitely not going to give up my pork chops! A half dozen eggs with that followed by a big slice of watermelon an hour later and I am a happy man.

    Going out for Chinese later today. Having company tomorrow and will probably fix boneless/skinless chicken thighs and a salad.

    btw I haven't had McD in ages, but a friend brought me an Egg McMuffin this morning and it tasted pretty darned good! I was really hungry, though.

    It's 8pm now and I'm just about to take Gluten and wheat free Chicken and Mushroom baked rissoles out of the oven..I can smell the aroma from here..yummmy....gonna have it with sweet potato fries (oven baked)...:D

    At lunchtime (brunch) I had Blini's..topped with Kiln smoked trout, and a little spread of Taramasalata

    I didn't have to google your meal today, Holly. Knew what most of it was. Sometimes I think we just use different words for our food.

    I don't think we eat Blini's like you do, at least I don't. It's kind of a pancake?

    Yes they are a Russian type of pancake...but I only eat cocktail Blini's which are very small, only about an inch in diameter.. :)

    I ended up making an Italian chicken casserole.................. Guess what ???????????????????????????

    I HAVE LEFTOVERS ................................... Tomorrow (Sunday) will be leftover night.. I will reheat the meatloaf and I will make a tangy tomato sauce to go over it..
    I will reheat the balance of the casserole and have it just the way it is because it was super delicious.. I added a ton of veggies to it..

    I was thinking of starting the supper meal with a soup of some sort.. They are forecasting another 30cms of snow and I thought a bowl of soup might be heart warming..

    tonight will most likely be some leftovers as I have a doctors appointment at 4:30 and he is always slow and late..
    By the time I get home it will be suppertime..

    I have some meatloaf leftover which I will zap it in the microwave and add a sauce of some sort..
    I have some casserole leftover that I will zap in the microwave..

    VOILA !!!! ......We have a quick and easy meal of leftovers.....
