Cut up a couple leftover chicken thighs, added them to a green salad.

I almost never throw food away; it's too easy to freeze things and use/heat later. I toss produce or milk that's on verge of going bad but I also try to prevent that by buying perishables in small quantities.

Friday was food shopping day and when I got back from shopping, I was totally pooped..
I do my food shopping in a town 30 kms east of Massey and I have 3 shops to go to and also a hardware store.. I stopped in for a coffee at MacDonald's just to unwind..
By the time I got back home, unloaded the groceries, put them away in the freezer, fridge or pantry it was time to think about supper..
I looked in the freezer and found some prime rib burgers.. perfect for the BBQ frozen..
I had bought veggies galore, so I made a simple salad using lettuce, red onions, red sweet pepper, mushrooms, and scraped carrot.. Whipped up my dressing and we had a meal...........................

Do taste buds die? Lately I've noticed the food I eat has little to no taste. I can taste catsup pretty well, so I douse some food with catsup. Then I went to horseradish and mustard. Lots of each.
My last grocery order included a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce. Never had it before. Label on the bottle says "a drop will do". Put a drop or two on some ground beef I was eating. Nary a taste. Doused it like I would with catsup. Finally, some heat. Now, I'm searching for a more tastier hot sauce.

Tonight (Saturday) I made homemade pizzas using flat bread as a crust, pizza sauce, bit of mozzarella, sliced mushrooms, diced red onions, slivered red sweet peppers, and more cheese on top... Under the broiler but lower down in oven till top is slightly golden..

last night (Wednesday) after planting 50 bushes, I needed something easy and fast for supper..
Tuna casserole was the thing.. I like loading up my casseroles with a ton of veggies making it a one dish meal..

Yesterday was hot dogs again, but I am going to make a decent dinner tonight. Chicken, fresh baked rolls, peas and carrots..and perhaps a square of dark chocolate for dessert. Planning a trip for Mexican tomorrow with a Tequilla Sunrise. The Mexican place in town..makes the best salsa this side of the Rio Grande, would love to find out their secret. Last time, I asked for extra to take home.
