I've been waiting on some numbskull to correct my use of pronouns so I can lose my ladylike demeanor. Unless there is more than one of them, "they/them" can kiss my grits.
None of that nonsense is grassroots. Every bit of it was part of an agenda to manipulate the gullible into this kind of nonsense. While we're all fighting over genders and race, they're taking over the world.
One of the facets of Wokeness is the DEI (diversity, equality and inclusiveness) movement which on the outside seems like a good thing. To quote the infamous but now deceased comedian, Nay-Nay! . It’s not that great of a deal when one considers that in order to check those boxes, an employer, reviewing board, college, military etc might have to forgo getting the best of the best but instead pick someone solely based on skin color, sexual orientation, religion or ethnicity. When we learn that doors come flying off of jetliners in mid flight, we know that some “less than proficient” person either didn’t install it correctly or inspect it correctly. Part of a DEI hire? It’s just my opinion but I’d say, probably. There are other examples of of dangerous inaccuracies bridging on ignorance and / or stupidity, but none will top the most recent box checking in the field of Land Mine Removal in Ukraine. Canada and the U.N. partnered up in the decision making process of whom will be trained to remove the land mines in Ukraine and yup, those nasty DEI check boxes are a major determining factor in that process. If an Alfa male is in line for training but the team doesn’t have a beta trans female in the mix, the beta person goes ahead of the more trainable Alfa. Now, in one way I can see how one might say, well, if a less than proficient person is trying to get rid of a mine and blows himself / herself up then oops, there goes another one. But who is to say that that same person might miss a mine and some kid walks on it or perhaps the DEI pick detonates a mine with the team in close proximity and everyone gets killed or injured? Dunno. I just hope that if and when some DEI pick gets a leg blown off, his surgeon isn’t a DEI pick as well.
Woke could mean your psychologically asleep. That is the way I see the new age today. Saying someone is a clueless self-loathing nutjob wouldn't be nice so we just say ,woke.
Maybe they need something to whine about? Mama used to tell us when we whined because we didn't get our way, " keep whining and I'll give you something to whine about". I don't see any winners in this planned division. " Liberalism is a mental disorder". M.S.
