There are exceptions of course, but most people who are in favor of abortion on demand are opposed to capital punishment and war. Does it make sense to applaud the killing of the innocent but object to the killing of the guilty? Does it make sense to favor abortion because there are too many people on the earth, yet shed crocodile tears over those who are killed in war? For that matter, does it make sense to spend billions of dollars in research and treatment in order to keep people alive, even as you are killing unborn children because there are too many people on the earth?

I don't get it. Can we at least have some consistency? For that matter, no one who is in favor of mandatory vaccinations has any business insisting on a woman's right to her own body. Again, there is a lack of consistency.

Sorry if I come off as being too outspoken against abortion. I have a beautiful, intelligent and successful granddaughter who would have been aborted, had my son and my x wife not offered to raise the child if her mother would have it. It makes me sick to think of those millions of babies killed, and what they might have achieved, had they been given the chance to live.

I understand your view Ike, but I've seen it from another perspective. In my area years ago it seems 14 was the average age for girls to get pregnant. Instead of being a schoolgirl and continuing on if life, they suddenly became mothers, dropped out of school and got tangled up in the welfare trap. Most of them stay there.

The children they raise don't usually have proper care and guidance and will likely follow the same path.

It's not the monetary cost of welfare, though it is enormous, it's the lives ruined that is the real cost.

Nobody favors abortion but I believe the option should be available for anyone to choose.

All of the news media in the United States belongs to about 5-6 major corporations; so everything that we hear on the news is controlled There is really no such thing as a true investigative reporter, since they are only allowed to report certain stories, or they can lose their job.
When something does come out that the government machine wants kept under wraps, then immediately another news story will be released, and played up to distract everyone's attention.
We see this happen over and over again.

The latest example of this was about Planned Parenthood selling parts from babies that were aborted. There were actual pictures of the head of the corporation dealing with buyers and talking about getting good prices for the body parts and organs of these babies before they discarded the rest of the bodies.
Since most of the aborted babies are black babies, you would have thought that all of the spokespersons for black civil rights and Black Lives Matter would have just been all over this news

Maybe they would have , but quickly a story came out and was on every Facebook page and all of the online news as well as in the media.
The story was about something that happens all of the time, and hardly anyone has given it a thought until now. You all heard the story, it was about a big game hunter shooting a trophy lion.
This lion was no different from any other trophy lion that big game hunters shoot, except for one thing...... this lion had a name.
His name was Cecil, and now just about everyone in the world is discussing about how terrible it was that Cecil got shot.
They are crying about it on television, for heaven's sake !

Who is crying for all of the dead babies that are being sold ? ? No one even seems to care about them anymore.
