Watching The Great Escape ( 1963) marathon of a movie but still find it entertaining after not seeing it for many years ... terrific cast and good script...
I just finished Agatha Christie's Poirot, all 13 seasons on DVD. It was a really good series. Hard to believe it took 25 years to make, and that its now gone.
We finished Altered Carbon this weekend. Very interesting concept, we actually though it was a quite good show. The main actor put a really good performance. I highly recommend it
This evening I saw Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Paul Dano, Abigail Breslin, and Alan Arkin. Audience Network on DirecTV. A comedy road film. A family takes an 800-mile road trip in a yellow Volkswagen bus. First movie I've watched in months. Enjoyed it. Seldom have the patience to watch a movie all the way through nonstop. Surprised to find out it got good reviews. I need to get back into watching movies.
I saw that many years ago. And another biography she made, about a singer, "With a Song in My Heart."
Liked that movie too - she is so watchable, a fine actress @Nancy Hart - and like Greg - I loved her voice
I just started last night watching "The Last Black Man In San Francisco" It's a new film through Netflix.
I like documentaries. I watched "Life in The Thirties", which was really interesting because it showed everything that happened in the world from 1929 to 1939, which was during my era. Hal
The Banger Sisters (2002), comedy, Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon. Not bad. Could have been good with some better writing, I think.
Today, October First, I plan to watch "Bound for Glory", the life story of depression-era songwriter Woodie Guthrie, composer of "This Land Is Your Land" and many others. Hal
