Sometimes it's ok, yes, I agree. But going to bed feeling depressed looking at my life, or what I've missed (I know it's only a movie but I can't help it) I've laid awake for hours. Not for awhile now, but that has a lot to do with what I have to read at bedtime
Just finished "The Power of the Dog." That was 2 hours lost. I have seen worse movies but can't remember when. I had to go read up on it to be sure I didn't miss something important. It was slow and only my morbid curiously kept me watching.
Been there done that @Faye Fox This isn't a movie but I got caught up watching an old "blooper" from Carol Burnett show, I guess it's pretty famous and I'll link it. Those were the days when it was shocking to mention a certain "word" in this skit
I recently watched "Being the Ricardos" with Nicole Kidman as Lucy. What a DUD. I usually like Nicole but she was no Lucille Ball. Getting beyond that, the movie basically stunk and was worth what I paid... free. I feel like I have already posted this somewhere but I'm too lazy to go look for it, so if so I apologize. The movie still stinks, tho.
Something I really enjoyed recently for the second time was Plague Dogs. It's animated and is about two dogs who escape from an animal experiment facility. Richard Adams wrote the novel. Christopher Benjamin and John Hurt do the dog voices. I recommend it unless you don't like sad endings. You can watch it on free Tubi.
Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies followed by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter This is what you get with antenna tv. At least it's educational.
We tried to watch "The Descendants." Pretty terrible. Only made it to the halfway mark. Clooney has been in several bad flicks. This is one of them.
I tried to watch Summertime (1955), with Katharine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi. It had good reviews. Though most only praised the scenery from Venice. The story was too contrived and unbelievable. Fast forwarded to the end. Also unbelievable. Happened on a short (22 mins) story by Nicolaj Kopernikus called “Stenofonen” on YouTube. About a musical instrument made of stones. Maybe a little unbelievable also, but in a believable sort of way. Even with subtitles it was better than Summertime.
I just watched the story o the sinking of the Lusitania. Early display of government taking care of itself
Just watched The Punisher. John Travolta is the bad guy/business man and a former/retired FBI Undercover Agent takes him and his men out. Appears the movie took on some "Rambo" tactics. IOW, don't mess with this former Agent!
