I'm spending the night in my truck in Calgary so I'll have to watch something I've downloaded. Manchester by the Sea I think because I always enjoy Casey Affleck's work.
We just watched the inspiring movie, 'Soul Surfer', this surfer girls' story is based on. Here she is still living large after the shark attack with her husband.
I'm watching Battle Royale (Japanese, 2000), a controversial and bizarre film. Society is failing and Japanese teenagers are let loose on a small island to fight each other to the death where only the last survives ... a larger scale inspiration for Hunger Games. It's truly a horror movie and difficult to watch. Free on tubitv.
I watched the old Jane Fonda/Donald Sutherland movie, "Klute" last night. I actually enjoyed it though I am not a Fonda fan. I remembered seeing the movie years ago but had totally forgotten the plot.
No thanks, I have plenty of horror in real life at times, but I will admit sometimes I reach out to the HollyHood's to give me some more.
I watched Clash of the Titans yesterday. As the movie proceeded, I recalled seeing the movie before. I only watched it because of Sam Worthington (Perseus) who I have been following since he played in Terminator Salvation and Avatar. Funny observation. He and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) sound alike when they exert themselves in 'do or die' action scenes.
The Frankenstein Universal collection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein_(Universal_film_series) Mostly 5 to 6 out of 10. I've no idea how critics see them as important. Maybe it's because they're influential.
I'm watching The X Files movie and enjoying it again. I think it came out in 1998. I'm going to see about streaming the old TV series since I had forgotten how much I like Skully and Mulder.
