Last movie we watched had some really great child actors in it, and a famous old female did a good job too. I forgot her name. Was it Ann Bancroft?
We rented Funny Farm, and it was enjoyable and funny. We had seen it years ago but 2.99 was worth the laugh.
Jamaica Inn from1939 - one of those films Hitchcock was obliged to direct but had no control over. It featured a bizarrely made-up Charles Laughton and a young and lovely Maureen O'Hara.
The last movie I watched was The Maltese Falcon .(Humphry Bogart, Mary Astor, 1941) on Turner Classics. I've seen the end, the beginning, and parts of the middle at different times (and forgot them), never straight through. Much better than I thought it would be. Fast paced. Fast talking. Kept you on your toes to follow it.
I just watched The Convict from 2014. It costarred Millie Rose Heywood when she was just an actress. She's now a producer, director, writer and probably a fighter pilot. She seems to be able to do anything she wants. I'm in love again. Sigh. Do you think it's possible that she's heterosexual, not married, has no boyfriend and wants to date a 70 year old carpenter?
Grit (the over-the-air western channel) has been running Clint Eastwood's westerns. I'm as much a fan of Eli Wallach as I am of Eastwood.
I'm watching the TV series Terra Nova on 4 CDs from the library. It's not bad with some so-so parts. It's gotten me hooked though to see how they get out of each dilemma. It's a TV show without commercials when it goes to CD.
