"A Force of One", an old Chuck Norris movie. I don't think I'd nominate it for an award or anything but it's mildly entertaining and it doesn't command a lot of my attention.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I have seen it a couple of times before but I still like to watch it.
Not exactly a cinema movie.. more a television movie. The Cowra Breakout (1992) It depicted the bold but foolhardy escape in 1944 of some 500 Japanese POWs from the Cowra prison Camp in central western NSW. This escape of course was driven by the Japanese Bushido code that it was dishonorable and shameful to your family to be taken prisoner in time of conflict. The Japanese Memorial Garden, Cowra.
I watched Battle of Britain (1969) for the umpteenth time last nite. An all star cast tells the story of the German Luftwaffe's attemp to bomb Britain into submission early in WW2. Winston Churchill said of the Brit and allied pilots.. "never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few ".
I am thinking of watching either Sabrina or Roman Holiday again. Been a long time since I saw the originals. But, since I love the La Boheme music in Moonstruck, I may view that one as well.
I watched a cinematic version Miss Fisher Mysteries today. A rollicking time set in the former Palestine with Essie Davis as a female version of Indiana Jones on the hunt for a priceless jewel and a secret crypt in the desert reputed to have a link with Alexander the Great. I can see this being a franchise if it is well accepted at the American box office.
I loved to watch "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. I didn't realize the info on Charles Manson was in it. Also, the fight of Brad and Bruce Lee was funny! (I laughed and laughed - but I won't give it away) Also, the actress that played Sharon Tate was a beauty. (I think I'm in love again - but at my age, its only memories now)
We watched it, but entirely to many "Fbombs" in it for us. Then, seeing Leonardo cook a young lady, with a flame-thrower...…..well, enough is enough.
