The Naked Street (1955) (I've seen it listed as a 1945 film - don't know why.)
    AKA
The Big Frame, The Brass Ring, The Mobster, The Rap

No, it's not a porn flick, @John Brunner. It's just a great crime drama with a believable plot, good acting and a fantastic cast. Freebie.

Farley Granger, Anthony Quinn, Anne Bancroft (what a hottie she was), Peter Graves,
Jerry Paris (later the neighbor of Rob Petrie on the Dick Van Dyke show), Joe Terkel,
Frank Barker, Angela Stevens, Lee Van Cleef

I did the same thing, but I did go to the movie. It was rather painful, as it is an issue I feel deeply about.

While I was looking into donating to them, A few years ago, I read about the Underground Railway and noticed that they did not mention anything being done here in the US. so I called to get details, mostly about the lack of work done here. I talked to Tim Hubbard, who explained that they would all be arrested if they worked over here. :-(

But I also got details about the work and what they were doing and ended up donating a few times.

I really do wish something would be done here in the United States, where we still call it the marshmallowy "human trafficking" and even worse, simply "trafficking." It is a gigantic but unspoken problem here, and I figured I would have to go one step at a time, correcting and explaining why they dare not call it slavery.

@Mary Stetler, it really WAS worth watching, despite the discomfort of parts of the movie.

My niece and her husband are going to see this movie in an IMAX theater. Her husband is almost giddy with anticipation of watching the Oppenheimer movie in this theater.:D

"Liar Liar." Of course I've seen it before, but it's been so long, I'd forgotten how funny it was.

I loved this series, seen it twice, also Endeavor is way good, and Foyles War is just excellent (I think Foyle's war is the best series I've ever watched).

Another good one with Stanwyck is "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" also with Kirk Douglas, and Van Heflen. Free on Prime, not sure where else you might find it :)

I watch the movie "Uncharted", I classified it as an fantasy adventure story similar to the Indiana Jones movies. Maybe it was my mood but I surprisingly enjoyed it.
It's cast included Tom Holland of Spider-Man Fame and Mark Wahlberg.

Watching "The Best Years of Our Lives", a 1946 story of 2 men recently discharged from the military as they try to get readjusted to civilian life after WW2.
    A pretty darn good film.
