We are watching one or two episodes of The Americans every night. Northern Exposure is one of my favorite series. My wife loved House, but I didn't. She binge-watched it, but I quit watching, I think, before the first season was over.
I've been watching the series of 'Reacher' with Alan Ritchson. Lots of violence, action, some humor, and fast moving. Trouble always lurking wherever he goes.
This actor is much more like the Reacher in the novels, although THAT Jack Reacher didn't have the gym body. He was depicted as a tall, powerful man, not pretty but not ugly with a "presence". About as far from Tom Cruise as one can get. Casting Tom Cruise as jack Reacher was one of the stupidest casting decisions ever, but Alan Ritchson is much better. Reacher seldom uses his fists in the novels, as his punches are too powerful and his hands get injured so he uses head butts and and elbows and such more often.
I also have been watching 'Mr. Robot' with Rami Malek and Christian Slater. I stopped watching it because it started getting weird and my youngest son told me I should keep watching it it gets better. Weirder but better.
We've been binge-watching Battle Creek, which was a one-season series starring Josh Duhamel, Dean Winters, and a cast of more. It's too bad it only ran for the one reason, as it's a small-town police drama that is "surprisingly" sophisticated while being kind of toned down. If anyone's interested, I recommend it. Right now, we're re-watching it on our new DVD/BluRay machine. Quite good ... and we'll probably re-watch immediately when we're finished.
I'm about to start the new "Fallout" game to series adaptation by Amazon on Prime Video. Good reviews but I'll see.
I am watching a Netflix mini-series called All the Light We Cannot See, from a war novel by Anthony Doerr, which is set in the time of the Nazi occupation of France. So far, I am liking it quite a lot.
Weird movie. I didn't want to say I watched it but I did. I'm watching The Spiderwick Chronicles with Christian Slater. An original Prime video series.
LOL, this reminds me of what my son said about gnats here, he was helping us dig raised bed. He said, whets wrong with you two, you're working like nothing is going on while a hundred gnats are doing the backstroke across your eyeballs. He tells that story a lot.
All the Light We Cannot See was a short mini-series, but it was very good. It's not really a war show, although the war served as the backdrop.
