Today I had OJ, scrambled eggs omelette made with sharp cheddar cheese and provolone cheese, of course buttered toast.
Eggs scrambled in olive oil and milk(2 jumbo eggs for each) Thomas's Honey Wheat english muffins with strawberry jam, iced coffee
Five leftover blueberry pancakes my wife made yesterday AM. Two sausage links. One fried egg and a piece of buttered toast. Two cups of great Folgers Classic Roast coffee.
Boiled eggs (2) , a piece of dry toast, a cup of blueberries with cream, 3 big cups of coffee with cream.
I had a bowl of steel cut oats with an apple chopped up into it, and seasoned with cinnamon and apple pie spice, and covered with banana milk, which is so delicious with hot cereal. I stole a cup of Bobby’s coffee (actually, he offered it to me), and had that along with the cereal. We went to the fitness center today, and since I was swimming for an hour, I needed something for breakfast, but not so much that my tummy was too full to swim well. The oats were perfect. I think that tonight I will make a little jar of those overnight oats, and have that for breakfast in the morning. I still have about a cup of banana milk, so I can use that in the overnight oats.
I had the overnight oats this morning, and it was not quite like having pineapple upside down cake, but it was really good, just the right amount to fill me up, and a good breakfast for a warmer morning (finally !). Today the Roman Meal (5-grain from Bob’s Red Mill) is supposed to arrive, so I will try using some of that in my breakfast oats instead of the plain oatmeal. Dr. McDougall has a bread recipe that uses oatmeal, so I am thinking that I will bring out the bread machine and try making bread. I love fresh bread, but since I have been on low carb (for about the last 50 years), bread has been a “forbidden fruit”, so to speak.
Sausage pattie on half of a bun. Banana and coffee. My lunch however was larger and first time ever ate a Whole avocado with . lunch.
Oatmeal with raisins/brown sugar/fruit/bacon/coffee. Having breakfast late in the patio before temps get to expected 95 degrees. My next door neighbors are at the next table.
