Husband wasn't home, so I had blueberry waffles with syrup and a cup of coffee for dinner. Sooooooo good.
Last night I made baby back ribs, baked potatoes and caesar salad. After dinner I fell into a "food-induced coma" and didn't wake up until bed time.
Brisket...roasted cabbage and roasted poatoes... Cooking it all this way instead of beans potatoe salad and whatever else we mormally would have.
I've thawed out two ribeye steaks to grill, and will also bake potatoes and steam some fresh broccoli. Probably a nice cold Shiner Bock as well.
I cut up 3 chicken thighs into strips and cooked them in a lentil and Butter bean gravy..and had a bowl of that for dinner. Hubs is still at work ( it's 8pm here) but he's a Vegetarian, bordering vegan, so he wouldn't have had any meat anyway .. he'll have something when he gets home if it's early enough...
1/2 a ribeye steak, 1/2 an ear of corn and a small baked potato, For dessert I made a lemon meringue pie.
Grilled pork chops, corn on the cob, potatoes and green peas. Strawberry shortcake later for dessert.
Just been out to a Chinese restaurant in the next town ... if we go out on a Saturday night we always go early before everywhere gets busy after 9pm, so we were there just before 7pm and back home for 9pm...lol, never in my wildest dreams when I was younger would I ever imagine coming home on a Saturday night at the time I'd normally be going out... ... we do stay out late at night when we're abroad on hols tho'... Tonight ...I had pork dumplings, and sweet & sour Prawns , and asparagus....hubs had all veggie stuff... mushroom in curry sauce, aubergine in black bean sauce, and some other stuff I can't remember now!
