We've eaten so much in the last few days that we just dug around for snack foods today. I had a slice of homemade bread toasted with muenster cheese for dinner.

Yesterday I picked up some marked-down Christmas sweets I have no business eating, so just had salad, soup and a homemade roll for dinner...and a fudgesicle. Walmart started stocking the fudgesicle I like again.

I'm ashamed to admit that there's a Walmart refrigerated thin crust pizza that I like, if I pile a bunch of my own fresh veggies on top of it. So that + salad + fudgesicle is dinner.

It could use less salt, though...

Hah. I'm not above bringing home a Bertolli's every now and then.

Man, I haven't had a Bertolli's in a long time. They make a good pizza.

Well, duh. I actually meant "Boboli" premade pizza crust. I just pulled "Bertolli" outta who knows where.

Uh, and I was thinking of Digionro. This is why I stopped telling blond jokes...

I think "Bertolli" is a jarred sauce that I will also admit to purchasing on occasion. :D

We need a "Kitchen Shortcuts" thread. I seem to be taking more of those as time goes by. ;)

Interesting. I'm still going the other direction. I never made homemade pasta sauce (whatever jarred that's on sale), but since I've been making pasta, I've found a great marinara sauce and a thick sauce w/meatballs recipe that I make and keep in the freezer. My shortcut remains to cook in bulk & freeze ahead.

But such a thread is a good idea. There are lots of tips & tricks out there.
