Tonight was my second night in a row for eating out. I must have gotten a raise.

Went to Applebee's in Charlottesville. Had salad, ribs, mashed potatoes & broccoli. Came home and finished off the baklava I bought last night.

ps: I'm glad I typed this. I left my daggone leftovers out in the car! Bear are coming out of hibernation. That might not have been a pleasant surprise. Mazda versus Bear would have a predictable outcome.

Blue Jean Chef Recipe; Beef and Macaroni in the Instant Pot. Also salad and garlic bread. Strawberries have hit the stores so I'm making strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Thanks to my youngest daughter, we're having Outback tonight since it's my birthday. (This raising kids thing is finally paying off. :D) I'm having a ribeye with the pecan blue cheese wedge salad and a bloomin' onion. My husband bought a bakery birthday cake so that will add to the food coma later.

I made an impulse decision to have pizza tonight. I always make a plain Fontina cheese pizza and a tomato sauce one with meat & veggie toppings.

I made the dough this morning to rise in the fridge all day and went to the store only to be disappointed. Damned rural grocery stores only having Fontina cheese "some days." And they were out of Romaine lettuce!!!

I'm not making a special 50 mile round trip to go into Charlottesville for any of it. So I picked up a pack of shredded "4 Cheese Pizza Cheese" (and a head of green leaf) and I'll make do with that. At least I got some fresh mozzarella, a block of provolone and a block of sharp NY cheeses for the other pizza.

I guess this is what I get for not planning Pizza Night around a Charlottesville trip.
