I bought chicken fingers and taters when I came home from my little 8 mile trip this morning. I finished them around 3. The 3 kittens and myself had a nice nap, I nodded off for about two hours then reached over into my big box and got a handful of kittens, let them all snuggle with me for a few minutes then got up and will turn in after 9 pm news so I can watch The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, two and a half men. That's a wrap for this mar 23rd.
Crab puffs so far. I may finish the black bean chicken squash collaboration after my walk. It depends on how the handful of chocolate M&M's settles on the crab puffs. @Hedi Mitchell, I had a beer at the restaurant.
My fav My favorite is Meat Loaf. Every time I happened to drive that 65 miles to Vegas I would stop at the Klondike Casino on the 15 intersection. Their lunch special was Meat Loaf and it was really good, and cheap too !
I cooked a small hamburger paddy with some store bought potato salad. I also cooked a very small portion and chopped it real fine and put it in two coffee lids for the kittens. Soon a real cat fight took place, looked like kittens playing air hockey. It was funny to see them spread their shoulders out real wide trying to protect their territory. After they eat I always have to wipe them off, they get their feet into the lid and food and drink all down their chest and feet. Now they are taking a late nap and quiet but they will wake up around dark, sooner if I make any noise. They know to climb on my foot to get my attention for water and milk. I still feed them liquids by the syringe but sometimes I put it into the lids, most winds up on the floor and their feet. For the longest time the biggest of the 3 wouldn't take water but now he loves it and it is a challenge to get the thing in his mouth because he is using his arms and claws to try and grab it, and they are strong for their size. They keep me busy !
We had one of those #5 packages of chicken drumsticks, and it needed to be used up; so I put it in the cooker and made a nice thick hot sauce with fresh onions and peppers and hot spices and canned tomatoes, and cooked the whole thing for over an hour. I made some brown rice and black beans to go with it, and it turned out to be a great meal. Bobby loves those hot buffalo wings, but chicken wings are $3 a lb (or more, if you buy the frozen ones) now and drumsticks are much cheaper, especially in the large bags. Now, he will have leftovers that he can just heat up and have “buffalo drums” instead of Buffalo wings. Next time, I am going to get the large package of whole legs, separate the drums and the thighs, and we can have a different meal from each of them.
