    That's interesting.

Kind of a cross between Hot & Sour soup and Egg Drop soup.

edit to add: I usually do these things in a pdf file, since they upload OK.

Thanks; I got it. Now tell me what "little corn things" are. :D:D

I'll just put this here in case anyone else is interested...

    SOUP, HOT and SOUR
Chicken or pork pieces, saute and deglaze with chicken stock, add water as needed
    Mushrooms
    Red and/or green sweet peppers
Onion, chopped, and green onions for garnish
    Garlic
    Fresh ginger sticks
    Bamboo shoots
    Water chestnuts
    Canned little corn things
    Tofu, optional
    Two eggs, whisked
    Soy sauce
    Rice vinegar to taste
Ground black pepper & ground cayenne to taste
    Salt if needed
    Cornstarch
If desired, when finished, remove some stock and thicken with cornstarch, add back in to thicken.
Drizzle eggs in while stirring to create ribbons.

Ha, it’s those tiny ears of corn that come in a can, should be in Oriental section of market.

I saw all the options, just zipping the original file was the easiest. Plus a standard text file is easier for most peeps to alter if they wish.

Prolly should have just pasted it here as Beth did.

I swear there was an original Saturday Night Live skit about "saving the baby corn," but I can't find it.

How about actual samples? I can be there in 15 minutes. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I grow zooks, and I usually slice them maybe 1/4" thick, coat with flour and saute. I'm getting tired of them this time of year though. :(

Ah, I love that too, although I buy the dough and the sauce. Italians would say "You're cheating!"

Aside from the usual toppings, I like to put bacon on it too.

FWIW: I've used canned "pizza sauce" and I've used plain old spaghetti sauce. Can't tell the difference on the finished pizza.

Possible leftovers. I may just have ice cream as my throat is a bit raw from all the forest and range fire smoke. I will gargle with brandy first and see how that does for throat relief.

When the smoke is too bad and I have to go out, I use a wet terry cloth kitchen towel tied like a bandana. Not very attractive but it does a great job on the fine particles that blow in here.
