Oh, dear, has my I hate cooking agenda rubbed off on you? I treated myself to fish tacos with Negra Modelo beer at an awesome authentic Mexican restaurant and have one fish taco and one tamale I got as a side for dinner or supper. I also bought an Edwards Chocolate Creme frozen pie and that is some good eats right there, I tell you what! :)

This place is owned and run by folks formally from a Mexican Pacific coastal resort near Guadalajara and they use sauteed halibut filets (fresh as possible) in their tacos with finely chopped salsa. They soak the corn tortillas in lightly garlic-infused olive oil. They put crumbly goat cheese on top and it is the best ever.

Your dinner sounds infinitely better than mine. We just ate; the turkey and dressing was very TV dinner-ish. I could have saved a lot of money by picking up a "Swanson" and tossing in the oven. I'll stick to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

They had the butternut squash for 75 cents apiece at the IGA store the other day, and I got several of them. We already baked and ate the first one, and today, I baked another one.
I love baked butternut squash !
Anyway, Bobby made pork chops 1-2 inches thick to eat with his, and I had fish sticks and homemade tartar sauce with mine. Poodle enjoyed snacks from both of us.
(If we aren’t careful, that little dog is going to get spoiled ……. Bobby claims that Poodle has been spoiled for a long time; but of course, we know that can’t be true. )

I grew up on butternut squash even in pies at Thanksgiving. My dad loved growing giant butternut squash and hated pumpkins. I like butternut squash better than pumpkin for pies, but I am thankful for my great auntie Maude that brought rich chocolate pies to Thanksgiving. I would take one bite of butternut, then one of chocolate, and no one had hurt feelings. :)

Dinner in the crockpot again today.
Sauerkraut, polish sausage, potatoes, onions, collards, mushrooms, and a can of cream of mushroom soup to help flavor it. Easy to make, healthy, and one of our favorites to have in cold weather.

Leftover meatloaf; either sandwiches or reheated with mashed potatoes and something green.

    Chicken and Dumplings.

I had some cooked chicken in the freezer, and I made some rich golden chicken broth last night, slow cooking some chicken backs. All left to do is to make the dumplings. :)

Do you roll out dumplings or drop them? That sounds yummy.

I have a coupon for a free pizza from Dominos, so that might be dinner. Still thinking.
